Hubs and Hubbers to Celebrate: My first 101 Followers
My inner kid is jumping for joy
My inner kid is jumping for joy: I have over 100 followers on HubPages. So I spent this weekend getting to know them, and I want to share the joy with you. In The Lord of the Rings, we learn that Hobbits give gifts to others on their own birthday. I don't know a better way to celebrate than to give to others. In that spirit, I’ve put together this hub to share my favorite hubs and hubbers with you all. I’ve organized them in a way that feels right together – bringing people with similar gifts close to each other. These Hubbers are my gift to you!

Spiritual writers
In her bio, Anika Vaghela says that she lives and breathes love, and, seeing her photo and reading her hubs, it is easy to believe. She also expresses a religious openness that is a model for Hubbers, as you will see in her favourite Buddhist quotes.
Rajneesh Chaturvedi writes practical articles on living and introduces the basics of ancient Hindu philosophy.
Snowdrops is a fresh writer whose opinions keep us thinking.
Practical Living
I really didn't know whether to put Team Leader here, or above, in Spiritual Writers. She sees the world as I do - spiritual work and practical leadership are all rolled into one. I recommend her entire series on The Inspirational Team Leader.
I think BrsMom68 may be the most practical person I've ever met. I love what she writes about cottage industry and freelance writing.
Vimesh Ummer teaches us how to make a fun children's toy, either from a coconut leaf, or from paper.
J. S. Matthew offers a lot of practical guidance, like this hub on turning problems to opportunities, important political perspective, great practical writing and online business tips, and delicious recipes. Who could ask for more?
I admire survivors who live and share good things with other people. If you do, too, then check out Peeples bio and hubs.
A happy couple in Portugal hub together under the name Algarveview. They offer a bunch of practical topics, and some poetry as well. They also ask great questions (that's how I met them), summarize their hubs here, and share a sunny view of life.
I really like KRSharp's energy and perspective on life, and I think her hubs on parenting are just great.
Fiction, literature, and poetry
KrisL writes beautiful haiku, and teaches us the way to write them ourselves.
Sen.sush23 took my heart with this poem that, for me, reflects the pain of the poet and our yearning to be heard.
I love this little folk tale at the end of the Hub Filipino Folk Tales by GreatStuff.
Nellieanna compiles many beautiful blends of poetry and pictures like this one, A Gift of Air.
Culture, art, movies, and more
Spartacus Jones comes out from behind his mask to share a history of the songs of the protest movement - a must-read for anyone who wants to connect with the undying link between music and justice.
Maralexa, an author with a lot to offer, may be from the West coast of Canada, but she takes us to China in her beautiful introduction to brush painting.
If you're thinking of taking a cruise - or any other vacation - you couldn't do better than be guided by AtlasSue, with her practical tips and uplifting photo essays about exotic destinations and events.
Robwrite offers excellent, insightful reviews with excellent background knowledge and interesting views on life, as well.
There's a lot to like about Sandra Busby, who, like me, is a big proponent of Carl Jung and his work with archetypes. But here, I'll celebrate one of her beautiful photo galleries.
CherryCrime26 is into everything from aura cleansing to the meaning of dreams about food to sexy gangster movie scenes. Her writing style is engaging, lighthearted, and direct. I look forward to seeing what she will do next!
JoanVeronica is a very clear, methodical thinker who loves tango music. You've got to admire a right-left crossover brain like that. And she shares a fascinating and important story of transforming an impoverished society in Chile, as well.
Humor
You gotta admire a grandma who paints a picture of a shark and uses it as her avatar! Rutley is absolutely hilarious. I'll leave it to you to choose your favorite hub.
I'm not generally a fan of humor that makes fun of people, but SweetZara does it so sweetly that I can't complain, and I can't stop laughing, either. And her hub on The Seven Habits of Highly Defective People is not only hilarious, it also teaches The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by reverse psychology! (Read the rest, too: All of her humor is great!)
Speaking of humor that can teach, how about MazioCreate teaching Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs through cycling? And you're no ecology enthusiast until you've checked out Worm Whispering!
Inspiration
Denise Handlon, HubPages's own 2011 "Most Supportive Hubber," is, herself, an inspiration to all of us, and she shares great insight in Soul Work: Joy.
G. M. Clendon's voice as a motivational speaker comes out clearly in his writing, and his thoughts evoke the best of traditional Christianity.
rebekahELLE's inspiration cheers the soul. If you can't spend some good time outdoors, at least read some great quotes about nature. In fact, thanks for the reminder, Rebekah; I've just viewed my 20th Hub follower, and I'm headed out for a walk!
Raging Bull, a cute brunette from down under is a paradox you can't believe until you meet her - at least on HubPages. She's not an inspirational writer, she's living inspiration! You've got to admire someone who is head over heels enthusiastic about both skydiving and meditating with Tibetan singing bowls.
Internet Success
Peter Savage has a great marketing method for Internet writers and marketing called Link Wheels.
CapstoneTrends offers several extremely realistic and practical articles about making money writing on the Internet, like this one on setting realistic income goals.
Delicious recipes, and a bit of nutrition
TeacherLoves2Cook offers delicious, attractive recipes like this one for stuffed peppers with roasted potatoes.
Balas Ovidiu shares everything you ever wanted to know about one of my favorite foods: honey.
MMargie shares simple, delicious recipes, like this one for low-calorie cinnamon roles.
Melovy has a great series of Kids Cook Monday recipes where you can teach your kids to bake and cook. Most of the items are sweet, like this unusual riff on pancakes, but some are savory, as well.
Liz Lillith offers a lot of tips on the use of herbs and shares how to make a complete 5-course English breakfast that is vegetarian or vegan.
Saving Kathy has a bunch of practical food tips and easy, tasty recipes, and a beautiful essay on Prince Edward Island.
Life is Delicious
In closing, I just want to thank all my followers and encourage everyone out there to let their wonderful writing make your life as delicious as mine is coming to be!
