   Isn't an 'opinion' just that, an opinion, nothing more.  Really proves nothing.

   I think you get good answers because people very often have good feeling about God, s/he is their hero, salvation, tells them how to live, tells them what is right and wrong, provides people with a track to run on...
   
   There are also bad feelings about God, war, trama due to bad prophets, greed, self-serving cult leaders, ...... you name it.
   
   The principles that God shows people are the same principles very often that lead to a productive life.  If God can forgive our sins, then we don't need to worry about it anymore.  The 10 step system used in AA works for believers and nonbelievers.  It is the princle of the thing...

   God is one subject most of us seem to think that we know better than anybody else, particularly if the other person belongs to another religion!
   
   I am not sure whether we get good anwers. But I have seen one thing here. If I post any reply confirming my faith in God or the need of faith in God to understand God, I immediately get negative marks to my answers!

   That's normal to get an "opinion". After all that what you are asking for with a question. And then everything depends on the way you formulate your question.
   When it comes to God, it is about believing not proving. You either believe or not and that's fine whatever you decide to do.

   I wanted to ask something in this line like. It is true, it totally amuse me to see whenever i post something of GOD or ask a question in that line.
   
   I mostly get NEGATIVE DIRTY MEAN responses and it seems to me like i wake up the ATHEIST and haters of GOD. They just wait for a chance to pounce on Christianity or Christ

   Because, as with any controversial or opinion oriented subject, we all want one (or both) of two things... to have others agree with us and make us feel better about our own beliefs, or to have others disagree with us so we can pick a fight and "prove" them wrong... which is, of course, an exercise in futility at best.

   Why do we post ANY question on Hubpages unless we want to hear another person's opinion. That's all people can give about what they think, feel, or believe. Why should questions about God be any different?

   When people write questions, they will get opinions from all sides. Too many people are too afraid to have their own opinions. For some reason, it's considered bad taste for one person to say that gods and angels don't exist. But at the same time, we are all expected to sit on our hands and listen as a person of faith talks a lot of nonsense.

    It depends on the person who is answering. If he is enlightened, awakened etc. he can show you right path, but if you take the answer with narrow mind whatever you will think will be incomplete and will not satisfy you.

    Simple controversy. Any logic would prove there is no God, but most philosophys support the opposite. It's the ultimate conflict, and frankly, conflict is fun to talk about.

    I think because there are some who believe...truly, some who are curious and some who are seeking. Some are intimidated by such a question...perhaps not wanting to state their opinion.

    One can not prove the existence of God nor can one disprove the existence of God.
    
    Logically the very notion of a God is ridiculous, but it can't be proven God does not exist.  It's a no-win situation and is reduced to opinion.
    
    Just because one can't prove God does not exist is not an argument in favour of existence.  That would be a fool's argument.
    
    If it were possible to prove the existence of God the next question is how did God get to be in charge in the first place and what created God and what was the reality into which God came?  It always requires something to come before... even for God.  Which is a good argument against the existence of God.
    
    So... since one can't prove the existence, or non existence of God then everyone will have an opinion.  The educated and intelligent will reject the idea of a God and the ignorant and superstitious will see God everywhere.
    
    One would think that if there was a God it would put in a personal appearance once in a while and if God were kind an merciful then all the millions of starving people would have food and we wouldn't have earthquakes and other disaster killing people off.  Nor would we have so many people suffering every day of their lives.  Nor would most all animal life have to kill other animals in order to survive.  The arguments in favour of God are pretty much non existent.  The arguments against a God are so many as to fill a book.

I have seen and experience the other side of death in a vision GOD given me on August 1, 1982 A.D. a Sunday morning. GOD have set me apart and prepared me for the purpose of being on hubpages and it is a tough crowd and I have been prepared well for this mission and is why I am the ambassador of Jesus Christ. I am not looking for agreement but is only giving you the message that GOD wants me to share and give for the benefits of human beings to live on the earth by being love being peace being free. Straight, plain, simple as this can be understood by anyone with an open heart to be love be peace be free. Just be it.

    Because everyone believes that their own ideology is the right one, but want verification of that thought. Conflicting ideas on religion and god creates arguments, making everyone's point equally right or wrong in the end.

    It depends what you mean by "good answers."  Often people will consider an answer to be good, if it agrees with their own opinion.  As an atheist, I try to take on board all answers as nothing more than opinion, especially my own, and am always interested in the views of others, even those of a fundamentalist religious background.  I don't see the point, in getting angry with people who have what I consider to be beliefs which have no basis in historical fact or offer no scientific evidence to back them up.  I have noticed however, that there are a lot of Christian fundamentalists on here and other sites, who seem to display an intolerance towards those who have different opinions, especially to atheists.  I have at times really thought about whether I should express my opinions on such questions, as I am aware of the negative feedback they may receive from the religious minded.  However, I realise that I have a right to express my own beliefs, as do those who would strongly disagree with me.

    Opinions often lead to arguments, and arguments are at their root meant to be persuasive. If you craft a careful argument, you might even sway someone else's opinion. If it's your goal to affect change of any sort, you need to build a concensus opinion.
    
    Nobody can give good answers on those questions. One side believes something unprovable in the affirmative, which defies logic. The other side believes something unproven in the negative (which leaves room for later explanation as more information becomes available). It fits within logic, but doesn't offer the concrete answer that most people crave.

    It is only human nature to reach out. We would like a little affirmation. We would like to find those who 'speak the same language', and are interested in the same things.
    
    In social media, there is a multitude of dissimilarities. Some people communicate well, while others may wear their heart on their sleeve. Still others are rude and insensitive.
    
    In many cases, the ones with the least to say, speak the loudest. They claim to have answers in their negation of certain elements in the lives of others. You will note an air of superiority in their communications as they claim that faith, or God, is all nonsense, and ridiculous.
    
    They will try to set the parameters of a topic: for example, to say that it is equally impossible to prove or disprove God is no more than a self-serving gambit. Just because it has not been proven to there satisfaction, is no reason that the rest of us should allow their satisfaction to be a standard for the issue.
    
    Personally, I hold out that God will be realized, even if He isn't at this present moment. And while he is not, many will continue to believe (but then, That is the value of faith).
    
    There are good and bad questions, as well as good and bad answers. No one ever made it a rule that reaching a consensus would be easy. There is actually, a kind of charm in all the debate and wrangling - it reminds me of British Parliament.

    All answers are through God. In God's favor or not; all is God. If one has negative to say, God must be speaking to them.
    Do you have anything negative or positive to say about something that doesn't exsist in your life? No opinions are much worst than negative or positive.  No matter the beilef or lack of, God loves and blesses us all.

    I think you are right - I suppose it is not about good or bad answers, but just opinions. Disagreements and those that pick a fight will be in every similar post. We get easily enflamed about sensitive topics like this and certain religious groups will even give you the death penalty for speaking against their god.
    
    I think we should be tolerant and respectful of others opinions and be able to freely express your own opinions as well.
    
    So here is my opinion: God lives! He is the beginning and He is the end.

    I think most questions are posed looking for a definitive answer and I think many answers are based on fact.  However, questions related to subjective topics that cannot be scienfically proven are left to personal interpretation.  For example, a scientist who bases his life work on proof, is hard pressed to believe in the existence of anything that cannot be measured or computed in a lab.  Of course, there are always exceptions to my opinion, which is based on personal experience related to my brother, who is a professor and microbiologist and will not discuss religion.  It cannot be proven in his definition of solid scientific evidence.  So, BobbiRant, I would say that in answers to questions about God, most information could be viewed as "opinion" rather than proven fact, which in no way diminishes the reality of God in any individual's life or experience.  I am certain that those involved in organized religion would vehemently dispute my response to your question.  So, unfortunately, even my attempt to answer your question is ambivilent as far as fact.
