    If people don't care about each other they'll have arguments about finance. And if they respect each other and respect wishes of each other they'll find a way to avoid this argument.

    Couples usually argue about three things: money, sex, and power--sometimes these overlap.  So, yes, people could argue about money if they are having financial difficulties, but I wouldn't say that it was the major reason for arguments.

    I think it is difficult not to argue about financial difficulties in a couple.  If one party keeps quiet about such things when the other brings this up, then it's a possibility to have peace, else, that is how an argument starts.  Financial difficulties can drive people "bonkers", unfortunately.
