No they shouldn't. Only because they don't act like democracies. They all have in the back of their minds the US interests that is to say to save their pipeline in the region. Everyone who is a bit interested in their history will notice that the only time it acted internationally was to defend its interests abroad (the overthrown of the Iranian president) or for geostrategic purposes (alliance with South Korea).
Secondly, we all know that those so-called rebels are radical muslims mercenaries. Either we claim to be democracies and we act internationally as such, either we are dictatorships waging wars for our own gains then we shut up when it comes to denounce China as for its human rights violations.

Yes, of course. They aided Libya, why not Syria. The differences in both civil wars are tiny. Of course danger exists that the aid will go to Hezbollah and Al-Queda, the infamous terrorist groups, but Assad is much worse than the terrorist groups as he possesses much more power. However, the western nations should only aid with small weapons and humanitarian needs, never should they send troops on the ground - that would be another Korea or Afghanistan- another mistake!

They should because people there started peaceful protests that were violently crushed. They should because human rights have been violated. They should because it is the right thing to do!

I don't. A government's point is to protect its people and country, not others. The U.S and the U.K government do not need to get involved in foreign countries at all, let alone Syria. Furthermore we know that a good portion of the rebels are actually terrorists under the control of Al Qaeda. Even if we hate the dictator who's guaranteeing that the small non-terrorist rebel group we want to support is going to take power and not the equally hated terrorist group?
