Why does most immigrants hate America yet they don't want to go back to their own country?

All I hear from immigrants today is America is crap this, America is crap that and nothing good comes out of America. then why do they still live here if they have better things where they came from?

You are talking to the wrong immigrants.  All are here of their own free will. We don't forcibly bring them here anymore and haven't for quite some time.

That said,  many of today's immigrants are employed in day labor and construction.  This area has been extremely hard-hit in the downturn, and everyone in the construction industry has suffered greatly.

I'm talking about the same immigrants, the ones that came here on their own free will, maybe I am wrong but it just seems that every single immigrant I encounter have nothing but bad things to say about this country. i know we have our issues but it can't be much worse than the issues where some of these immigrants came from. This is not a hate question by the way, I'm just really curious.

There are some interesting dynamics going on here. First, ask yourself if you’ve never thought the food was a bit poor on holiday. It’s part of human nature to complain about your environment, whether it’s where you were born or where you currently reside.

There’s also the question of ownership. If you feel you own your country and anyone from outside your borders is your guest, then to hear these guests complaining would appear disrespectful. If you feel more like a participant in the development your country, you’re more likely to view criticism from any source more positively.

There’s also the possibility that the memory of an immigrants former home might be so horrible that they subconsciously displace it, choosing to participate in their current environment and assimilate with the indigenous population who almost invariably complain about where they live too.

Not all immigrants receive kisses and welcoming faces in America, so when they tell their own story it begets negativity, moreover some immigrants could be willing to go back case we dunno

I believe the expectations of the united state are high for those coming from other countries, and although their countries are worse in some respects they hold our country to a high standard which I don’t believe Americans hold their own country to that same standard. The result is a lot of disappointed immigrants who know they have it better here, just not as well as they were sold. We see our country with no fault and although we have a lot of good going for us, we have yet to back up all of the words and ideas we were founded on. We are constantly moving towards that, but not there yet. We are also not too kind to immigrants as a country, however 99% of Americans are immigrants or decedents of immigrants and we forget that or don’t realize that. And when people talk about immigrants nine times out of ten they are talking about Latin Americans, who may have a little resentment to this country because this land was once their land and they were driven down to South American. The difference between a Native American and a Latin American is language. I am not saying we need to give the country back, but we need to be more understanding of the issues immigrants have and work with them with in the rules to include them in our society.  Part of the reason our country has done so well is because of our diversity, we have the best of everyone in this world we need to continue to build on that.

They come here because they want to escape the poverty, totalitarianism, corruption and cultural and religious wackiness of their native countries.  But they want to bring their culture of poverty, totalitarianism, corruption and cultural and religious wackiness with them.  When they find that America doesn't conform to their cultural and religious wacko ideals, they get pissed.  But they still have a better life here, so they don't want to leave.

All they have to do is wait.  America is fast declining to their standards, so soon they will feel right at home.

I agree with dabeaner.  I work for Greeks, who are overall nice people.  However it is not un-common to overhear them sitting amongst themselves and talking about how Canadians (caucasians) don't have a good attitude, ethic, all the rest.
My boss once told me "don't trust Italians, don't trust East Indians, etc (we were watching the news together after work.)  So many of them are no better...they're racists too.  Yesterday we got into a discussion about Religion (I study through my own church)  My Greek Boss told me that only the Greek nation is guaranteed Salvation, this following a winded discussion about the end times)  That did it. Granted we too are immigrants, but we original immigrants, if you will, created a system wherein all can play fair and live together in peace, where your personal beliefs are respected) You guys come to our land, act smug and want nothing from Canada but to exploit it and enforce your religious and political so called "superiority" upon us.  To stand in my land and tell me that my rellgion and beliefs are false....but my belief system helped you get wealthy
when you couldn't get rich in your own land.  Go home, every
    scum bag one of you!

It's all part of histeria of hate towards America born in the defeat of the nazis, nourished by the communists during the cold war, which resurged with different names and faces after September 11th. Some of this despise stems from America itself -such as the "liberal", "alternative" portrays of the US by Hollywood that cause so much reaction (love and admiration on one side, hate and envy on the other) in other cultures. Basically however, all this dual attitude from immigrants is due to the fact that rationally they know there's no other place like America to reach your dreams and enjoy of civil rights, yet emotionally they have been indoctrinated from childhood by envy and conspiracy theories sprouting from the defeated nazis -which spread all over the world since the end of World War II. It's funny to see how even the people of some of America's "friends" (such as Canada, Australia and Western Europe) regard America as a dictatorial nation and Americans as 'brain-washed' nerds, while Americans do know (and it is backed by stats) that they enjoy one of the bests lifestyles and highest incomes amongst this group of 'allied' nations.

Hello, I'm italian, i live in Rome, and i can say you that the immigration's situation there is very bad, there a lot of Bangladeshi people that live in large community and have colonized entire neighborhoods in Rome, for me they are the perfect example of immigrants that doesn't wants to integrate to italians people; they have came to Italy for sell on the street roses and unnecessary items, there are a lot of these little sellers that run the length and breadth for the city for sell, but people don't know, instead, that they works for italian mafia, for example at petrol stations in the night time bangladeshi people work there, and the owner can't send off them; back to our discussion bangladeshi are very closed in their communities, and they are racist with other countrie's people, even they are misbehave, because always speak loudly in public, they say bad words Italians, in their own language, and in general i have noticed that they are aggressive between them and also with other people, than i can explain my personal experience with them: i'm italian and i have a chinese girlfriend, when i go with my girlfriends to one big fruit market to buy fruit, one place where all the sellers are bangladeshi people, they see us and than tease us, they say chinese greeting ' Ny Hao' and say 'Hey beautiful girl', when i'm with her, thay let me became very angry, because are in one group, they never aren't alone when say that expressions; from this experience and others (i have lived to one chinese-bangladesh neighborhood for 2 years) i have knew that bangladeshi people ever wants womans, italian womens, chinese women, fat women, whatever; so i think they are like animals, they have not fully any education; i too hate bangladeshi people, and i say this after a lot of experiences with them, also i'm a sociology student, so i can judge them better of someone else! At the end I want to make an appeal to all the developed countries: 'Bangladesh is the country with most density of population, 160 billions of people that live in a big place like the Greek, and in this country the birth rate is very high, the corruption is high, and the levels of education are low, and its people in the last years migrates much in all the world, so i think that this country is not a threat for the world, but governments should reduce the immigration of people from this country, because they can raise the level of social conflict and disturb the people of the countries of immigration!'
