Can anyone point to the correct statistics to prove Trump is wrong?
We know drugs come over the border. We know gangs traffic back and forth across the border. Despite added security on the border, we know it remains porous. We know illegal aliens are still excorted over the border by "coyotes." We know that people are still foolish (or is it ignorant?) enough to endanger their lives in crossing our southern border illegally. While NBC and many will label, and have labeled Trump's remarks on the illegal crossings (back and forth) as "racist," aren't illegal immigrants ipso facto criminals?

This link shows the different information regarding your question? Now you can say trump is wrong with this information because you can spin information to support your cause with the right information. Yet you can even say Trump is correct based on his information. If you look at Southern California crime rates that says most criminals are illegal immigrants from Mexico. Now we can look for our evidence that we want and not achieve anything but to address this problem why can't we look at the entire picture and say that something is wrong and not point fingers?
I had no idea that this set of statistics was available! I guess I should have presumed a set did. You have gone to a reliable source in terms of who is actually incarcerated, and that tells a part of the story. Thanks.
It's been reported the number of illegal immigrants in the United States (may be) as high as 20 million people. Statistically if they were all are drug dealers, rapists, and criminals American companies would not continue to (break the law) in hiring undocumented workers low wage jobs.
Percentage wise the criminal element must be fairly low or there'd be chaos!
A lot of these politicians have illegal immigrants working in their homes! My guess is Donald Trump may have some working as maids in his hotels. The dirty little secret in America is our economy enjoys taking advantage of cheap labor and free labor. This goes back to the slave era.
As long as they're cleaning homes, mowing lawns, picking fruit, doing assembly work in small factories for low wages (quietly) for fear of deportation then there is no issue with them being here.
However once people start talking about a "path to citizenship" or civil rights suddenly they must go! Everything that is wrong with country is their fault!
It's about fear. If you give people the right to vote you give them power. If every company had to start paying them minimum wages they'd be upset.
Who stands to lose money and power if things were to change?
Which political party stands to gain more voters with reform?
Illegal immigrants are not competing for high tech jobs, engineering jobs, mid-level and high level executive jobs. Most of them are doing jobs we really don't want to do! Illegal immigration has been one of the backbones of our economy for many years!
They suddenly (all) became drug dealers and rapists once a movement started for making them citizens.

Hoopla. Most of the people these days are trying so hard to be politically correct and refused to call a person who entered the United States illegally an "Illegal Alien" for fear of being branded as "racist". For me, if you're illegal, you are illegal. No sugar coating, no...

We frequently hear Democrats say that there is no crisis on the border. They cite the fact the illegal crossings are down. October 1 through the third week of November, illegal immigrants from Honduras, Guatemala, land El Salvador numbered 25,000 including 15 Syrians. "In FY18, a total of...

The Biden White House is in settlement talks to pay up to over a million dollars a family. Once again it would seem this kind of decision-making is very non - sensical. So, hard to keep up with all the topsy turvy decision-making that comes out of the new administration.Oct 29,...

really get tired of people who say the United States is a horrible place. I have no idea why they just don't go to a country they think is better. I wonder if they are too unintelligent, cowards or just lack the conviction and commitment it would take to move to another country. ...
