Why is everyone but Donald Trump absent from the crisis in Baton Rouge ?

The President is playing golf in Martha's Vineyard on yet another vacation - when a disaster of this magnitude strikes, it demands Presidential attention (remember the backlash President Bush received about his response to Katrina?)
    Where is Hillary Clinton?
Where are Black Lives Matters, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and the rest of the race hustlers?
Trump scrapped a major New York campaign event and is now with Mike Pence touring the area and reassuring people...

The governor asked for no one to show up for photo ops.  He said it'd be better for no one to come. Guess dumpy doesn't listen . Nice photo op,  tho,  eh?  The kinder,  gentler dumpy.

We don't get 'free' stuff. We get our tax money back in the form of benefits. We PAY for those benefits! The government just manages our money. Sometimes they do it well, sometimes not. Just like any financial trust.

Leslie, That is exactly what Earned Income Credits are, a tax refund on taxes you never paid.  There is no other way to look at it but just another form of welfare.  How can it be called a "refund" when it was never paid to the IRS?

I am talking about the 400 dollar increase he allowed us to earn before fed taxes came in to play. And I repeat, no one on ss can speak about welfare. You are way on the receiving end.As is your Republican Congress. You poke at working poor as scapegoat

Leslie - You need to do some reading and educate yourself on this before you make assumptions.  If you do the math on a $400 deduction the amount you saved on taxes would probably buy you a couple lunches at today's prices.

In the case of the president the Gov. John Bel Edwards a (Democrat) asked Obama NOT to come at this time. Apparently he feels a presidential visit puts a huge security demand on local resources.
“It is a major ordeal, they free up the interstate for him,”
“We have to take hundreds of local first responders, police officers, sheriffs, deputies and state troopers to provide security for that type of visit.”
“I would just as soon have those people engaged in the response rather than trying to secure the president,” Bel Edwards continued.
(“So I’d ask him to wait, if he would, another couple weeks.”)
It's my understanding the president will be making a stop there next week. He's heeding the governor's request.

Both President Obama and Hillary called the Governor of Louisiana and asked if they should come down there and they were told they would be a distraction and take rescue resources away from the victims. I understand that Hillary Clinton is having fund raising for the victims of the flood.

President Obama’s vacation has nothing to do with him not visiting Louisiana. The governor of the state requested him not to come because it would be a drain on resources needed for recovery.

It is interesting to note the emphasis Obama haters place on him not showing up in Louisiana after taking only a 2-week family vacation for a flood that has caused at least 13 deaths. However, conveniently Obama’s detractors forget that George W. Bush was spending his 27th day of vacation on his ranch in Texas when Katrina hit. He spent another 2 days at his ranch before going back to Washington and refusing to go to Louisiana. Eventually, his aides persuaded him to at least do a flyover. Incidentally, 1,500 to 1,800+ people died during Katrina (no one knows the exact figure) and Bush’s statement was, “You’re doing a heck of a job, Brownie.”

To be  fair...The  Gov. of Louisiana asked Obama to stay clear so they could keep vital roadways open for relief  functions...I believe Obama has made the arrangements to visit now.
Trump wanted to be the 1st  "politician" to show support...he knew that anyone else, like Obama, would have trouble getting immediate clearance for a visit.
As far as BLM...I doubt that the Powers in La. would want them there ...it is not a Photo OP...and you  could never be sure if BLM would use the situation to promote their platform...so even if they requested to come, I am sure that request would have been turned down.
