Seems even democrats dislike the job Obama has done on reducing unemployment... well I'm not surprised!!

Has Obama done anything to reduce unemployment?

The only jobs created in the last couple of years have been government jobs....

Haven't you heard Obama's created millions and millions of jobs we're practally at full employment! If it wasn't fir Obama unemployment would be 150% under the failed policies of 8 years of the Bush administration! Lol

Not sure if LMC's post is serious or a joke.  Based on past history, I'm afraid it is the former.....

Obama performed better in his first two years comparing to Bush inspite of the recession

and with regards to the link about the Gallup poll, does this mean Republicans don't prioritize unemployment issues? What about health care, among those surveyed, Democrats tend to think more of it as an issue?

this is the basis of the article which you posted -- http://www.gallup.com/poll/146081/Unemp … m=Politics

It's interesting to me that some people want to play both sides of the fence.
On one hand they scream that the government needs to step back and let the free market do its thing. One would assume that private-sector (e.g., non-government) hiring would come under the umbrella of free enterprise.
On the other hand, when they don't like how things are in the private sector, they turn around and blame Obama.

Damned if he does...damned if he doesn't.

    LaLo,
You really should look into a career in advertising. You have a knack for headline writing that bends the truth to the breaking point!

Note that NOWHERE in that poll does it ONCE mention American's approval or disapproval of Obama's handling of unemployment or the economy (or the deficit). The poll simply reports what are the top 5 issues that Americans are concerned about.

LaLo -- Have you switched parties? according to this poll,Democrats are more worried about unemployment than anything else, and certainly are more worried about it than Republicans (41% vs 31%).
On the other hand, only 13% of Republicans view healthcare as a pressing issue. Hmmm. I don't see a huge "mandate from the people" to repeal the healthcare law in that small number! Do you?

What the poll says is Americans think jobs are the number one issue, even the dems (I wonder where they found dems that actually want to work) and yet this president has done nothing to improve the jobs situation because he had to shove his socialist agenda down our throats! Yes but NOW he's going to be focused like a lazar on jobs! Lol can you say 2012???

He tried! Dems sent 16 jobs-bills to be taken up and given to him to sign...15 were blocked by the Republican filibuster.
In Obama's Stimulus plan, he had plans for money to go to industry, to get jobs moving again.
Snow and the other female Republican from the NE (can't think of her name!) would not sign on to the stimulus until those job-creating ideas were changed to tax cuts.

You know for a fact, the R agenda was to say No to anything Obama, and come in in November and "save" America....ala Gingrich memo.

well, they got THEIR tax-cuts...where are THEIR jobs?

Boehner's call "Where are the jobs?"...is replaced with "When's the next day off". IMO

Obama's trillion dollar stimulus passed! Fact is it still hasn't been all spent oh and the tax cut bill had another 300 billion in stimulus... I think Obama thinks as Pelosi does... unemployment us stimulative! Lol

He had to tweak and tweak it to get those 2 republifemales to go along...otherwise, it would have died on arrival.

You see, the R's TARP passed, with reservations, but NO tweaking.
Dems ideas all have to be vetted and weakened to comply with the big bad bullies in the gvt...the R brigade!

Sorry to all you nice R's..but your leaders are bullies! And do not work well with others.

Poll Americans Disapprove of Obama Handling of Unemployment-

Poll Americans? Did they ask the homeless people? Or just who they wanted to?

    What a joke! hmm

Most of their polls begin asking very leading questions and as soon as you give one answer that doesn't fit what they want the poll to prove, they thank you for your time, hang up and call someone else. Having given my email adress and phone number to several gloriously ,ignorant conservative sites, I get regular calls from them to participate in scientific polls. I have only been able to complete one out of about 10 I have been included in. They dont conduct pollls, the round up people who blindly agree with them and state this is what the country thinks.

LaLo is on a MISSION FROM GOD!!!! She hears a voice from a burning bush (not W, the biblical one). The Voice, which sounded suspiciously like Glenn Back said that Obama's approval rating was rising AFTER the GOP won the House of Representatives and this is an ABOMINATION!!! So LaLo was selected by the Almighty to bring down the Obamas with stories about the Super Bowl menu and all kinds of bad news and bad poll results (even if they aren't connected with Obama).  Truth and fairness are unimportant when you are on a MISSION FROM GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Bush put the country into the recession and the Republicans prevented the passage of a stimulus program adequate to reduce unemployment quickly. Plenty of people including Paul Krugman are critical of Obama's economic program.

Where are the jobs the tax-cuts were supposed to deliver?

For theFIRST, SECOND and THIRD time???

    When is the charm?

YOU are the one in denial!!!

    Trickle down is BS.
    Stimulus ---we need MORE!!!

Take it from waste at the top...use it to fertilize the 95% who always get ignored.
Plant your love and let it grow....from my Obama dream...2008.

Lift ALL boats, don't sink the ones at the bottom, so the top can rise. Learn from  Egypt!!

That pr*ck had 3 billion dollars in Switzerland. People in his country were impoverished.
Uhh, look around you here. Top-heavy, Too much re-distribution to the top!!
