"Hispanic Leadership Network conference here today, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) warned his fellow conservatives against using rhetoric towards immigrants that is “harsh and intolerable and inexcusable“:

“We must admit that there are those among us that have used rhetoric that is harsh and intolerable and inexcusable,” Rubio said. “And we must admit — myself included — that sometimes we’ve been too slow to condemn that language for what it is.”

I've also been waiting for someone to condemn 3 other things:
    1. Someone posted on Facebook a pic of Obama with bullet holes all through him.
    2. A democratic pol's cat was killed, and the word LIBERAL scratched on its dead stomache.
    3. 3 democratic female reps had bullet targets posted on their doors--reminiscent of Gabby Giffords.

This needs to be called out too. It's Cult-like behavior.

Please don't lump the rest of us in with the immoral idiots of the world.

Good for Rubio.  I probably can't say anything else nice, but credit for that anyway.

    So, no reliable source?

    What a surprise.

I only checked one of the stories, here is the story with links to CNN and the washington post, its about the cat. I am sure you are capable of googling the others, or maybe not since you felt it necessary to ask for them instead.

Will doesn't believe that conservatives can be awful people. In fairness to Will, he likely only knows good hearted people who could never imagine such ugliness.

Surely even you can't link those jackasses to any sane conservative regardless of your difference of opinion or persuasion.

Why is it such a shock when a pol actually does (or at least says) the right thing?
No one can be 100% horrible all the time.*
    This isn't exactly heroics.
    In fact, it's a bit self-serving.
But then, what isn't in politics?

*Unless their name starts with an "N" and ends with an "H." But I'm not hear to sling gratuitous mud.

some people find such actions funny and/or harmless tongue but 'cycles' of certain behaviors start out as 'fantasies' but have the potential to gradually become 'real'. hmm I think such actions even if just pics should have a eye kept on it. Why is it so hard to put together a problem and provide a answer along with it, in a letter hmm  tongue

in all fairness to Rubio he has had these kind of remarks before, although in a more quiet and limited way, because he knows the extreme right that rules the republican party today is unforgiving on the issue of illegal immigration and would purge him like a kidney stone, but maybe as much as he loves being the darling vp candidate of the extremists he values his principles more and is able to do the right thing.

Why do you say he's the darling of extremists?

because  he is the vp first choice for every extreme right wing nut talking head.

I think the minority gets the attention.  By minority I mean those who did those deplorable things to people, their pets, or their property.  I may be a republican, but I do not have ill wishes for the President that I do not agree with, nor do I have any disagreements with democrats who speak their mind with a civil tone.

I turn away when insulted, and expect nothing less from an independent, or a Democrat.  We are all in this world together, and Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Christians, Atheists, and everything in between that are citizens of this great nation need to look at "us" differently.

"Us" is Americans.  We are all the same.  Born here, live here, work here, raise our children here, worship (or not) here.  America is a single United unit... The division that comes from those horrible things listed in the original post should be denounced by everyone.  It's inhuman, and inhumane, and downright divisive.

I believe the majority of people are good, and civil, and able to do what they can to make things united.  I don't think that this squeaky wheel minority should get the grease.  They should be ignored like the spoiled children they are.
