   Have you ever had an old lover try to  "Friend You" on Facebook?
   
   I did not accept the Friend Request because the past is the past and, frankly, out of respect for my wife. As an aside, I have had two friends that have divorced because of old flames looking them up on Facebook. What are your thoughts on the subject?

   I would agree with what you're doing there, because we should respect the feeling of our partners. Frankly, a cyber relationship of any form can be as real as the physical one......because we put emotions into both. So yes, I would not accept the friend request, just like you.

      Ha ha! She'd probably advise you to accept her as a friend, go for a hot date with her, then tell your wife about it, saying, "I believe we should be honest and open in a relationship!"

   Yep I've had it happen, and when I saw his profile he was now married with a young family.  I declined the friend request, and blocked his profile.  He broke off the relationship with me and I was quite hurt about it at the time because of the way he did it and I'm not interested in staying friends with him.  I think you did the right thing too.

      I actually know a guy who was married and had a young family and decided to runaway with an old flame that found him on Facebook. The women he left (not the old flame) has since rebuilt her life and seems happy. Thank you for your comments.

   Honestly, I am a very happily married woman and my husband is my absolute best friend. We have no secrets. Saying that, I never really ever had a messy break up.  I was married once before and my ex friended me and then I meant his current wife and now she is my friend. I also have a few others on their I dated, rather it was brief or serious. Including my 9 year olds father who I was with for 7 years before I meant my husband, we are still friends  (we never even had to go to court for our daughter because we figured custody and support on our own) and he is now friends with my husband as well. I guess I don't think anything of it because I know there is nothing inapropriate going on on my end and if someone tried to cross the line, I would tell my husband and delete them. It has never happened though. If someone is going to cheat or mess around on the person they are with, they were already that kind of person to begin with and were probably friending ex's with the intention to stray. Something was already wrong with the relationship to begin with.
