Who believes in staying a virgin till one is married?
Are we still that traditional or are we setting a new norm now? What do you think? Do you think it is important to be a virgin till you marry one day? How important is virginity to people these days?
It depends on the individual and this differs from one to the next. It is a good thought save yourself till marriage to make it all special the STD s won't be a problem and the unwanted pregnancies won't be a problem. Above all one will have a good reputation and won't look as a let down.Though these days lots has changed and the importance of saving oneself for marriage is far lost down the lane.
Yes, well, when you find true love, it will look past this physical condition:)
A good question. I view it maybe differently. Yes, I realize there is the positional view of 'never' having relations ever until married, yet I also view it as relational too. In other words a coupling occurs and that relationship never has relations until marriage. That to me is a virginal relationship sort to speak. I feel that holds with the individuals of the relationship the same degree of sanctity for/of marriage as does the view of over a lifetime never having relations. Of course that does not give free reign for outside relations of the coupling.
Free will and individual view indeed. Different people, different strokes, yeah:)
In the U.S. (men) for the most part have never desired to remain virgins until marriage! In fact many males during high school would rather lie and say they had sex than to admit to being a virgin!
As for women the mindset started to change with the hippie "free love" and sexual revolution in the 1960s. Better birth control methods made it possible for women to have sex without having as much risk of becoming pregnant. In addition better career opportunities with higher salaries gave women more independence and financial freedom. This has led to many of them delaying getting married. The older one becomes the less likely they will remain a virgin.
Not many men are expecting women over the age of 24 to be virgins prior to marriage. In fact unlike most things that increase in value over time, being a virgin actually (decreases) in value the older a person becomes. No one sees a 45 or 50 year old virgin in the same light they see a 19 or 21 year old virgin. After a certain point people start to think there is something wrong.
Nevertheless life is a personal journey and each of us gets to march to our own drum. The most important thing about mate seeking is finding someone who shares your same values. There are over 7 billion people on the planet! Odds are there are more than a few people that would agree with any of us! :-)
Problems arise when people try to tell other people how to live their lives or insist they (change) rather than them seeking someone who (already is) in agreement with them.
Interesting views indeed. Agree with you that life is a personal journey and each of us gets to march with our own drum. Playing our own music that suits us best indeed.
Its very important for any God fearing individual to abide by rules and stay pure.

Does sex, every single day, make marital relations better or worse?I am looking for overtly honest responses to this question. As a married woman, whose husband has the libido of a 12 year old boy, I have to keep him happy. But I wonder, is having sex daily, really necessary in order to do that? Am...

Do you think that marriage is really necessary? My parents got married because "it was the right thing to do" not because they were in love with each other. Now after a nasty deparation and 27 agonizing years, they are finally happy.
