   evolution goes on the basis that the oldest creatures on earth were one celled organism, that over time gre in size, started taking shapes and started devoloping to the environments, still growing bigger, still changing shape, untill we pop up right at the end, this can be proven by carbon dating the remains that come up, putting them in order, oldest first (small single celled organism) to youngest first (people) then you can see a partner, a grow, from remain to remain, much like the ever famous, monkey, to ape man, to cave man to modern man

   If you go to a museum you will likely find fossil records, not to mention radiometric dating to place about where they originated from.
   There are tons and tons of pieces of evidence and to try and sum it up here would be wasting everybody's time.
   I recommend reading The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins who thoroughly explains evolution and how it's a fact.
   To answer your question, and I'm directing myself at PAPA-BEAR on this one, there is about as much evidence to prove the 'theory' of evolution as there is for the 'theory' of gravity and to make it seem as if there aren't even any middle species in the fossil record not only shows scientific ignorance for the sake of creationist propaganda but it demeans the effort that hard-working scientists throughout time have laboured for.
   Shame on those who replace a book with evidence and shame on those too who make claims that anyone in their right mind could prove with 10 minutes of googling. Maybe you shoul read a book; one written less that 2000 years ago perhaps, when the world was still thought to be flat? Oh, and by the way, WE a cross breed of Neanderthal and Homo Erectus. LOOK IT UP.

   To me, it depends on what has been written down. Sometimes, when words are being said to someone, it can be misinterpreted and pass on to another. That is why we question everything in life to find out the truth. But again, sometimes it is hard to know the actual truth.

   Evolution is far from being proven. There are many missing facts such as the Gambian explosion where species had no ancestors. Darwin backed off explaining the creation of an eye by random means.
   
   There are species such as the Giraffe in which multible things had to develop at the same time or no giraffe. He has an extra pump to push blood up to his head; when he bends over to drink water, there is a valve that keeps the blood from drowning his brain and a mechanism that storages oxygen atop his brain so that when he stands again he has enough oxygen to last until new oxygen is pumped again up his long neck.
   
   Life forms does change with time and environment, but intelligent design far out weights Darwinism.

    The idea that evolution is a fact is a misconception. Evolution is not a fact like the sun rises in the east is a fact. Evolution is a theory. However, it is a theory built on mounds and mounds of evidence and is the current best explanation we have based on that evidence to explain how humans became humans. This is how science works: evidence is gathered and explored and theories are developed to explain the evidence and then other scientists challenge conclusions until everyone is fairly happy that the explanation is supported by the evidence. However, challenging the theory and changing it never stops as new evidence is found.
    
    Without getting personal, Intelligent Design is not science. It's a theory based on religious belief. It's not scientific in any way. If people want to believe in Intelligent Design, that's certainly their right, but it's like believing in fairies or the afterlife. The evidence for such things does not exist in any way where science can validate it.
    
    I feel compelled to point out that just because Evolution is a theory does not make the science that supports it open for a debate about the concept being flawed. The science supports the theory of evolution and nothing else. We can quibble about semantics, but it's as close to fact as we can come.

    From a strictly scientific perspective (evoking the scientific method), you must be able to repeat/test the theory. We cannot test evolution any more than we can test creative design. Faith steps into BOTH scenarios.

    Darwins work will be talked about 2 thousand years from now if human civilization continues to surivive and that fact bugs the crap out of you Sunday schoolers. Darwin conducted thousands apon thousands of carefully controlled experiments before he dared to publish his observations. His extensive work represents one of the most important cornerstones of modern biology.  Based on these observations he was able to successfully predict how certain natural functions work before anyone else knew in science. He was the first to connect the dots and show the important relationship between flowering plant reproduction and insects and birds pollination. And the list goes on and on.  Personally I dont believe in God but if God exists It certainly isnt a MAN or HUMAN and if God did create everything he also created the magnificent brain of Darwin the MAN.   Evolution is NOT perfect. Thats why they call it evolution.

       Almost all of modern medicine research is based on evolution. Dont take a poll of averge people in America ask the biologist who look through microscopes everyday and see it for themselves.
