   Is it right to debate with a priest to stand up for your faith and relationship to the Lord?
   
   I am a teacher, a Baptist in religious affiliation. And I was hired in a sectarian private school which is a Catholic school. Because I was not asked a direct question of what my religion is I did not bother to tell the truth because I already accepted the consequences that I should teach the way a catholic does. But after one week father knew that I am a baptist, of all my explanations he still insist and did not listen to me believing that I can't teach their religion. So I told him there is no such thing as sign of the crux and praying using the rosary in the bible...He get mad and...

   You are in a very delicate position. First, don't argue with the priest.  After all, you did know what you were expected to teach. If he still wants you to teach...then teach. Second, spend some sincere time in prayer. God can use you right where you are to share His Truth. Explain to the students that you are teaching them from the traditional catholic curriculum. As you teach and as it's appropriate, share with them by comparison that which you believe according to God's Word. You can share similarities and differences. Let the Holy Spirit guide you. You may find yourself with opportunities outside of the classroom as well. God's Word will not return void, but will go forth and do that which pleases Him. Think of yourself as an undercover agent for God!

   Pierre Savoie, I would like to make it clear that I'm not looking at myself as an agent of God spreading the Gospel to young and fresh in faith catholic. Its not what I meant to say. I am trying to discuss that I accepted the job and so I should teach the catholic religion. I already told that to the priest director en-charge in the private school where I was hired. But after all he insist and wanted me to reconvert in religion through baptism in the water which in some extend I never considered to happen. Sorry if some part  of this discussion was not stated clear.

   Absolutely, if what he is saying is in error according to the Word of God. Why would you accept a job in an institution that goes against what you believe? We are never to compromise the Word of God. We are to love others and not judge, but we are also to stand firm in the truth. Christianity started with Jesus. Catholisim started with man. The priest's reaction speaks volumes about where the Catholic church truly stands.

   Yes. If you have to choose to be obedient to God or someone else, you should always pick God. You shouldn't do what man wants.

   Reading your comments I think you more or less know the answer.
   
   You contracted out to do a job and since that job has to do with funds being paid out then you have to accent the turns of the contract.
   
   A builder can't accept a contract on a customers house then decide to put in a counter he/she thinks would be better then what the customer asked for.

   Employment law allows for bias in hiring when that bias is for religion or other purposes which actually require exclusionary practices. The catholics, baptists, methodists, etc., have every right to hire their own people.
   
   You are correct that there is no rosary in the Bible. The catholics do many things wrong, as do the baptists, the methodists, and most denominations. Each teaches their very own doctrines, which have nothing to do with Christ. They just pretend to do so with a few conciliatory mentions.
   
   You are better off being outside of teaching denominational bondage to children. Just teach people to know and love the Father in Heaven, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

   I have to agree with Span Star.  If you are getting paid to teach a certain way then that is your obligation as a part of that particular institution, then you should teach their doctrine.  Since you did not disclose to the person hiring you that you are a Baptist, I think you may want to consider what is going through the person's mind that hired you. Probably why did this person not tell me this in the first place.
   
   Or consider you are the hiring person for a Baptist organization, would you hire a Catholic to teach your children? 
   
   An under cover agent of God is an interesting idea, however, for messenger God to be a messenger, that person has to deliver the message with out compromise. Just like if some one was given a letter to give to another person, if they change the letter then the letter becomes invalid. 
   
   If you were outside of the school and not teaching there, then debate with who ever you want to debate, priest, imam, devotee, guru etc.  I would just consider time place and circumstance.
