   Live and let live - this is the most simple way to say. One who follows this has the main ingredient of being a good man. Having compassion to fellow living beings. Not hurting or troubling others. Doing good to others as much as possible. Not being selfish, possessive, obsessive, demanding. One who forgives, but never forgets. Not for sake of revenge, but to treat it as a lesson thought by someone. One who practices control over his emotions. One who thinks twice before saying something. One who tries and understands others situations-sadness, happiness, etc. One who never gets into the wrong path whatever the seriousness of the situation may be.

   A good man is a man of integrity who loves God first and love those around him just as compassionately and forgivingly as Jesus loves the church. He knows who he is because he knows who he belongs to; so he is not insecure or threatened by those things that he does not know or understand. A good man is a joy to be in the company of, often planting nuggets of wisdom. He is a giver. He is a provider. He is faithful. He loves hard, strong, and unconditionally. Just the mention of his name brings a smile to my face!

   A good man is someone that has understanding with his heart. And he is a man that is a real friend with not strings attached. Also good man is a person that do 'acts of kindness' just because his heart is set on it; he is a man that loves the Lord. Lastly, he is a man that "walks in the way of the Lord" all his days.

   The same "characteristics" of a gOOd woman....Good energy!  Nothing or no one can replace being in their midst.  You can mimic good characteristics but when it boils down to the individual, nothing can replace the energy they possess and who they are.

   I am married to a good man........so, allow me, some observations.........
   
   he comes home at the end of the work day
   his money comes home
   he provides for his family
   he counsels his family
   he draws lines for family substance, moral codes and behaviors
   
   
   he cares more about the dependabilty and safety of his child's vehicle, than he does his own......he  knows that flaming green or orange windshield wiper blades..........well, they simply offer nothing.......she needs clean glass and anti freeze or a cooling agent for the AC
   
   she needs good brake pads and a muffler is required in our state...........a good battery is paramount............she rides on tires and good, quality shock absorbers
   
   He cares more about our child, than she cares about  herself........even if it cost her some degree of " coolness" or " hipness".....whatever the kids are saying today
   
   he performs the " nasty" or " gross jobs" around the homefront
   he rescues not only his wife, but also his children who are broken down or stranded along the hi-ways, he is far more concerned about either of us, than he is in the current ball game score
   
   
   
   He serves without being a " wimp"........he performs, and he is entitled to his fair share and due............and he expects nothing less
   
   
   He can be counted on to be here in the morning light, even when the previous evening did not go well or as planned.
   
   He has the ability, the stamina, the dedication, the resolve and the honor, to honor his committments.    You can expect that after 30 years, he will still be in the ball game at year 35.
   
   
   At the end of any day.........any day....my husband will take from his pocket, his time, his fatigue, to see that YOU, a total stranger, has life just a little bit easier, or with a little less worry.
   
   He will go hungry, so that you can eat.
   
   It is more, than I would ever, dare, to ask of him.

   One's action will show the character of oneself.
   
   Observe the body language of a person and you can see through whether it is good or bad. People may try to hide their true self but hard to do so with body language. It is a matter of observation and you will realize if the person is good or true.
