What is the difference between real freedom and the illusion freedom?
Many people are under the false impression they they are free, without know the true meaning of Freedom
Real freedom is the understanding that the only bondage is in one's own thinking. Freedom is real when there are no thoughts. When there are no thoughts, all entanglements disappear. This is the Zen approach. Not thinking about anything means no-mind. The illusion of freedom is when there are still thoughts about freedom. That cannot be true freedom because of the concepts. Only nothingness is true freedom. If there is nothing, where is the bondage?
This sound a great deal similar to one of the Beatles member song: Imagine.
Thank you for your gracious comment
Hi Friend,
This is a tough question.
Freedom s the ability to do as one pleases without meeting resistance, that is my definition.
Real freedom is knowing that "freedom is an illusion". Here let me elaborate.
I want to walk outside naked (not really it is cold today), but the law may have a different idea, and throw me in jail for indecent exposure. I want to fly, but the law of gravity has a different set of rules that prevents me from doing that as well.
The one freedom that I do know of is freedom of thought. Anyone could think about what ever they want and as long as it is internal there is no one to check their thoughts. All physical activities in this world have some limitation, that is the truth and an absolute fact.
According to the Vedic teaching there are three primary factors that limit us as humans, 1) ourselves, 2) Other living beings 3) Forces beyond our control, Nature or God.
The teaching also teach to have freedom in the material world, you have to control the senses by engaging the mind on constant meditation on the supreme. One also has to control the senses and the mind, and engage in spiritual activities that will help to reduce one's desires.
Chanting the maha mantra also is recommended "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare." This is the great chant to liberate the mind and cleanse ones heart of materialistic attachments that bond us in this world.
I hope this helps,
Best wishes
DR
God is free because God wants nothing but love and justice. If you want (!) to receive a pleasure you will be a slave of the pleasure. It is very hard to have pleasure and not to be a slave of it! There is only one right way. On this subject I can write a book if you're agree to sell this book on Amazon.
Please read comment above it was nearly my exact thought.

Looking back or even today, man always invented things for his own purpose and satisfaction. So why not think God as a creator and we as His creation and He made us for his own purpose. And why struggle to prove there is no God especially when all the modern science and technologies are becoming...
