   What do you think of that bumper sticker, "Coexist?"
   
   There is a popular bumper sticker out and about in the United States anyway, that says, "Coexist" with symbols on it representing different religions?  Is it a pluralistic stance?  What do you think it is encouraging?  Is there a coexistence of different religions in the US right now?  Curious what your thoughts are on this.

   It's encouraging those insufferable nimrods (religious affiliation may vary--here in the U.S., it's Christians) who have to shove their religion down your throat every hour of every day to sit down and shut up, because no one cares.
   
   And that's the kind of message I can get behind.

   My view is positive in regards to the "Coexist" bumper sticker. If people make the effort to be friendly towards others who are a different faith than us, imagine the possibilities for peace and co-operation.

   Hi!!!
   I commented on a hub of the same name today (or yesterday) and I KNEW it looked familiar. The depiction is absolutely beautiful. And it STOPS at the cross. Lol...
   However, no way, no how do they merge.
   Coexist, yes, but not harmoniously.
   Christians are instructed to learn of Christ.  During my own studies, I've learned that there is only one way to God. Jesus... now there are many opinions of him, but he has one way, according to scripture. God's way.
   
   It seems as if someone felt that we can all just get along. Therefore the merge of symbols.  But the bible asks the question, "How can two walk together, lest they agree?" So yes, coexist, we may/must. But we may not walk together.
   Jesus brought with him a "sword" that cuts to the heart of the matter. He says yes, or no. He sees the heart.
   Many of us today, cry, "Lord, Lord." And haven't a clue...
   The pluralising of religion is by design. It clouds the issues and confuses the very elite.
   Not long ago, I had a discussion with one who belongs to a church where this "coexisting" is actually done. And yes, "tossed..." is the result. Her mouth says, "Lord" but she barely believes a word he says... so im praying for her.
   The antichrist are here. They say, "Let's smoosh it all together, confusion is key."
   My thoughts on the matter, biblically swayed.

   Ambiguous, fluff n puff, meaningless feel good globalistic nonsense, but yet, a call to set aside ones own principles to accommodate the principles of others.
   The US was founded upon the idea of co-existence ie. the Bill of Rights with  qualifications, that all people share a loyalty to America, become Americans without qualification and that is to honor the Constitution, as the supreme law of the land, above all religious beliefs.
   Religious belief is like a virus, as are political philosophies and they will infect the body in an innocuous fashion, but once inside they will eat away the vital organs until the host is dead. Whether one endears the bibles, the Torah or Islam and the Koran, the false promises of socialism and some call to a Utopia on earth, they are as a virus, deadly to a free people.

   I like it.  Jesus said they who are not against us are for us.  We have free will.  People have the right to believe what they want.  I may not agree with your beliefs but I can still treat you with kindness.  Jesus taught us to love everyone without exception.  Regardless of context, as Christians, we are supposed to live as He taught us. Part of the problem with religion is that we misrepresent our leader.  This is true for many religions, not just Christianity.

   I regard it as a noble thought but, in a global sense, an indication of childish naivete. Peaceful coexistence has to be a mutually respected and pursued goal. Realistically, it is not. There are elements, cultures, and subcultures that oppose who and what I am as an American citizen, a Christian, a Marine, etc. I am a realist; as long as there are those who would violently oppose me, peaceful coexistence is a myth, a dream that will not be fulfilled. As long as there is religious, political, ethnic persecution, there will be no peaceful coexistence beyond the pockets of shared ideals.

    Peaceful coexistence is a  worthy goal, but it is folly to think that the lamb will ever lay down beside the lion for long, if at all.
