   Well, it's not really a question of whether we think he cheated, his action was a deliberate offense against the laws of football, he cheated.
   Perhaps it begs the question of whether on this type of goal line incident, where it is obvious that the ball would have crossed the line, there perhaps should be a change of the law, so that the referee can award the goal, thereby prevent the attacking team the insecurity of a penalty kick?

   I agree with Mick.  There's no doubt he cheated.  Ultimately Ghana would have won had he not handled the ball.  To my mind he deserves to be banned should Uruguay reach the final as it is an injustice to the spirit of the game.
   
   That said I think it would be far too problematic to start having refs interpret whether a goal would have happened had an offence not taken place.  Whilst this was an obvious goal bound shot I think you could end up with all sorts of disputes for less obvious shots and FIFA won't want to open a can of worms on that one.
   
   I think everyone's heart does go out to Ghana today especially the guy who missed the penalty right at the end of the game.

   Ghana would have won, but that's how it goes. I am not surprised by what Suarez did. It was clearly cheating and he deserves to be punished. I'm sure that the committee will give him a two match ban for that one which will end his world cup. However he is the reason why Uruguay are through, and his actions have got them through to the next stage.
   
   Uruguay, owe their world cup to him, I'm sure that at home he wont be viewed as a cheat, but more of an opportunist, happy to take one for the team for the greater good.
   
   I'm annoyed by it, as the worthy winners have been knocked out. Fortunately though I think the Dutch will be able to beat them.
   
   Allowing the ref to give a goal when the ball hasn't crossed the line would be impossible, as they cant even get it right when the ball does cross the line. Lets get that sorted first. Give them more things to do and they will make even more mistakes!
