Terrell Owens..good fit for the Cincinnati Bengals?

According to ESPN, Chad Ochocinco and Carson Palmer both want him on their team.  And the Bengals executives are saying that the wide receiver job is open if T.O. wants it.  Therefore, it seems like a no brainer that T.O. might become a Bengal.  However, is that even a good idea?  Seriously, we're talking about the same guy who still demands obsessive touches over the football.  Will he honestly be okay taking a back seat to Chad Ochocinco?  Or will Chad have to be the second option just to keep T.O. happy?  What are your thoughts on this?  Is this even a good idea?

If they don't win a lot early, I give it 4-6 games before he blows a gasket.  Too much ego in the room with him and Ocho.

It wont necessarily be a back seat.  It might end up like when they had TJ H, Chris Henry, and Ocho.  Having two deep unstoppable threats will really open up the middle, because the defense will have to respect their skill or get burned.  With that said get a solid back.

yeah, but we're talking about the same wide receiver who's always been known to have a lot of baggage.  versus those other players you just mentioned, they may have had their problems in the past.  however, none of them had a reputation of disrupting team chemistry in the locker room, and turning it against the qb and coach like he has.

Hey Steve, I have an eerie feeling T.O. is almost finished. If he goes to Cincinnati, touches are not going to be his choice. Dallas got burned by his B.S. and so did Buffalo.

That means, Cincinnati brings him in? He is at best a 3rd place wide-receiver on that crew....it's hard to see T.O. put his ego in check.

Just a thought. I'm not finding any reason to care about what he does with his career from now on, since he isn't on Dallas' squad. smile

yeah same here.  the only way i see that working out is if T.O. finally comes to the realization that he's not going to be the number one receiver anymore.  however, I doubt it though.  if anything i kind of expect T.O. to throw Chad and Carson under the bus the instant he feels he's not getting enough touches; just like he did to Romo and Garret a while back.  As far as Dallas goes, I think they're going to end up winning that division this year.  After looking at all the off season moves the teams there have made, Dallas looks like it's the team to beat right now anyway, so they're better off without T.O.

I really think that after the disappointing year that TO had that he is finally going to realize that he isn't as young and fast as he used to be and finally become a team player. I think that Carson Palmer is going to put up some impressive numbers this year and they can definitely make a run at the AFC title.

I think the competition between the two of them will be good for the Bengals and Carson Palmer.  No way I want either of these guys on my fantasy squad this year though.  It feels more like a good situation for a Reality TV series than a football team.  I'm sure the NFL analysts are loving it.

At least Cincinnati will be somewhat entertaining this season, considering they weren't much of anything last season. lol

I think it's a good pickup.  If they stay healthy, this could put them in the playoffs.
