   We buy a LOT from Amazon, so the free shipping is definitely valuable.
   
   We also have a Kindle, so the Kindle Lending Library is something we use.   Movies, not so much (I detest their awful interface - if they'd fix that, we'd use it more).  We do stream a lot of music since we bought their Echo product.  I was using their photo storage too, but now that Google is free, that's better.
   
   So definitely worth the $100 for us.

   I think it is a waste of money.  You have to check each product to see if it is eligible for Amazon Prime or not. Most of ones I have checked out are not.   Amazon shipping, and 3rd party shipping are different.

      I had a trial for 2 day shipping that turned into 2 weeks of waiting for products to come which were sent separately!

      On the left hand side of the shopping screen, you can sort products by "Prime" and then you won't see the non-prime items.

   It has been one of the best investments I have ever made. First, a vast majority of the products I have bought qualify for Prime. Secondly, it is a life saver when you need something really quickly with 2 day shipping. On top of all that, you get a lot of free movies, tv shows, music, and cloud.
   
   My kids have pretty much quit watching regular TV, so I am going to cancel my cable and just stream (I will also add Hulu to fill in the gaps. see below statement). They jump on the couch and pick out what they want, ready to order. Just keep in mind that not all movies and tv shows are free, so expect a new release to be $2.99 or $3.99.
   
   Overall, the price is worth it. BTW, they allow you a free one month trial, so I would go that route. Also make sure you have a smart tv or dvd player. If not, get the fire stick for around $35 or $40.

      I agree! Also, if you happen to be a student you get a major discount off of Prime and all the benefits.  I very rarely find items that I use that don't qualify for prime and many times they are cheaper than any store.  and Variety!

   I personally think so.  I have been a Prime member for over a year.  If you buy a lot of stuff off Amazon, it pays.

   I loved Amazon Prime and was a member for several years until they boosted up the price.  I wasn't working at the time so I just let it go.  If they let you pay by month that might be easier. 
   
   It was definitely worth it for me though.  I live at least 30 minutes from any big store so any time I needed a birthday gift or whatever, all I did was order it on Amazon rather than making a special trip to get it wasting my time and gas money. 
   
   For years I did most of my Christmas shopping with Amazon Prime and that was very helpful especially with their lightning deals they have going on that time of year.
   
   Another bonus was being able to stream movies and tv shows, Prime membership offers many of the same titles you would get using Netflix or Hulu Plus, at no extra cost.  And being able to order new releases was great too.  Maybe a bit more expensive but saved me a trip to the redbox!
   
   Another great thing about it was that I let my other family members use it as well.  So not only were they able to take advantage of free two day shipping, but I could always be sneaky and look to see if they bought me any presents! 
   
   Now my sister has it so I just use her account.

   Even with the cost being increased, it is worth it if you are more than a casual buyer. I myself don't use it because I buy maybe 2-3 things from amazon a year. However, my uncle buys EVERYTHING on amazon so he saves his money in the shipping alone. If you make many purchases or even just purchase a few large items such as washers and driers then you will see the benefits pretty quickly.
