   I have a wolf female that is one of the smartest animals on earth. She loves watching cartoons on TV and she has a cat. She watches after her cat and looks for it when the cat is hiding taking a nap. They get along very well. I just walked in the yard one day a few weeks ago and found her sleeping with the small white cat which has now tripled in size.
   
   She will try to bark her funny bark for the cat to come to her and sometimes it does. Though not always. When she has to go look for it she gets a look on her face like why does my cat have to be so dumb.

      That is so awesome how she has her own pet cat and looks after it. You should shoot some video and write a hub about it or send it to one of the funniest video shows. Thanks for sharing.

   My dog is extremely smart! Genius? NO! I don't think he can work mathematical equations or find that cure for cancer but he's very smart! I taught him all the dog tricks in one day! I adopted him from PAWS and was told the previous owner adopted him and brought him back in a week saying he couldn't potty train him. I had him trained in less than a day and he has never used the bathroom in my house! He is a Boxer. He sleeps with me and doesn't want away from me at all... he's my best friend!

      Love the fact you adopted him from PAWS and it just goes to show you that some things are meant to be. Sounds like a genius to me, after all he knew when he had found a good home and did what he needed to do to stay there:)

      He's my genius. Yes I think he knew right away. When me and my son went and looked at dogs he stood out to both of us. He would run up to the bars of his cage and wag his tail and was just totally noticable. He made a great first impression on us.

   I have two dogs, and one is extremely intelligent (a lab mix), and the other is a complete moron (a beagle-shih tzu cross). The lab mix isn't at all interested in 'dog stuff' (toys, fetch, playing, ect.), and is extremely low key and super smart. We adopted her as an older dog and she is the most well behaved dog you will ever meet. The little one, on the other hand, has the attention span of a house fly, and has been EXTREMELY difficult to train. She drives the other dog up the wall with her antics. But they're both very sweet.

      Wow from one extreme to the other, but it sounds like they make a pretty good pair.  I have 5 dogs and 4 of them are pretty smart. But one, well lets just say he's not the brightest bulb on the planet.

   My dog is pretty smart and he knows it and he's kind of cunning too... For example If his squeaky toy is driving me insane ill put it away in a drawer to save my sanity. The little sneak will go to another room, grab someones attention by tapping their leg and walk them back to the drawer and tap on that drawer till they open it and retrieve his toy!

      I have a friend whose dog is obsessed with a laser light and when they put it in the drawer will sit there and stare at it for hours until they get it out. I don't know about yours but he is obsessed.

      My dog is obsessed with them too and torches. We keep the torches in the kitchen  drawer and he seems to know the sound of that particular drawer. when anyone opens that specific drawer he'll bolt to the kitchen!

   My old cat was extremely smart. He could play hide and seek, fetch and a ton of other things.
   One cat we had did not understand anything, especially the word no. She would climb and sleep on your face.
   One dog my dad had was dumb, she would eat out of the litter box.
   I have seen about the same amount of smart animals as dumb.

   I got mostly dogs since I was a kid. For me it is always important for pet owners to train their pets though some are gifted and others are not but it is also equally important not to hurt them if they aren't. I saw some pet owners who hurt their pets when they found out that it won't submit to their commands.

      Ohhhhh I can't stand that when pets are hurt because owners don't have the patience or knowledge to train them. I'm also more of a dog, (well dog and horse) person.

   My dog is a genius, no doubt!  Baby is  a Miniature Schnauzer and is SO smart, I just allowed her to train me.  That's what she has done, too.  I wrote a Hub about her training me.  She is my best friend and companion!

    Ok, so I must answer this. My cat is a genius. She has me so well trained that it is amazing. She has  trained me to open the door at just her right time to let her in or out. She knows just the right little purrrrrrrr to get me to  stop whatever I am doing and adore her.
    No matter which door I go to let her out, she runs to the oppostie one...I can stand my ground and wait for to return...but...she has me trained. She knows she will win. She is much more patient than I am...she can out wait me every time.
    Genius..I guess so...Or, maybe I am just a pushover...either way...it does not matter...she is my Honeybee.

    I have a little dog I consider pretty smart but I don't think you would consider her a genius, lol!!!!  If she sees me getting my car keys, cell phone, billfold, and in the wintertime, getting my jacket, etc. she knows I'm going somewhere. She always knows when I'm going to feed my horse, too, because she always wants to go. If I ask her if she wants to go outside, she seems like she knows what I'm saying, lol!!!  You see, when my parents were living, we didn't keep animals in the house much.  I knew dogs could be pretty intelligent but I didn't know they could be this smart.  I think dogs are smarter than what people credit them for.

       What is so funny about my little dog is when I use the bathroom by the back door, she will sometimes be outside the door when I get through!  It's like she's waiting her turn to use it, LOL!!!!  I will say, "Your turn!", LOL!!!!

    lol this is a god one, because I feel she's so smart--but she does the cutest most dumbest things. (My dog Luna) LOL this is a nice genuine and funny question. lol.
    I think my pup looks like a pig too, couldn't help but glance at her fat pink belly (her coats white) and just laugh upon reading this question. aww. lol. cute dog btw.

    My previous cat was extremely smart and sly. She was a great hunter and could slip into every nook and cranny in the house. My current cat however is quite stupid. He sticks his head under running water, is afraid of mirrors, drinks out of the toilet and so on.
    
    My best friend's dog, wow, she is too smart for her own good. She's a complete instigator and if she gets bored she will annoy us or the other dog just for fun.

    I have border collie that looks a lot like the dog featured. He is so smart! He knows several different tricks and seems to have the extra sense that tells him when he's about to get a walk. However, he refuses to fetch. I think he believes it's beneath him.
