   Why do fleas bite certain people and not others?
   
   Two people living in a house, one person is getting bites all over from fleas and the other is not being touched. Why is this?

   That is typical me!  Apart from that it seems any biting bug, like mozzies and sandflies also prefer to bite me, if they can.
   
   It is distressing and frustrating, especially when I am with others who state loudly [of course]  Mozzies?  What mozzies?
   
   Some have suggested that what it indicates is that some, like me are allergic to these bites and so they itch, or swell up or redden more, while with others these bites are felt like a pin prick that quickly goes away.
   
   I have been told to take B1 daily as I live in a seaside town and heat and humidity are the domains of those pesky bugs.  It has worked - somewhat.  The severity of the effect of the bites and the length of it bothering me - after 4 years of taking ~ 200mg B1 daily. 
   
   I will certainly be following this thread.  I am always on the lookout for ideas on this subject.  Thanks for raising it Vince.

      I am in a shore town myself and am always the one getting bit. This time it happens to be fleas from a friends house and they leave him alone. I will try the B-1, Thank you.

      B1 has helped me, in that I rarely itch & scratch for 3 days running as I used to.  I still find the first few hours quite uncomfortable though.  Good luck.

   It all has to do with body chemistry. What you eat changes your body chemistry. For example, ever notice that Indian people (the ones from India) ALWAYS smell like garlic? Its because they put garlic in literally everything, and it exudes from their pores, changing their body chemistry. Now, here is a tip. Garlic actually does ward off biting and blood sucking insects. Its a natural repellent. If you dont want to get bitten, go to the store and get some garlic tabs. You can find them where the vitamins are generally kept. They dont taste like garlic, but trust me. It works. OR you can put garlic in your food at least once a day. I promise you, my friend. Follow my advice and you can kiss the days of getting bitten bye-bye.

      . . . .and be shunned by my friends?  Can't stand the smell myself.  Much as I hate the bities, I think I'd rather put up with them then!! LOL!!
