how can I tell whats wrong with my cats eye if it is closed?
By taking it to a vet. Your cat may have an eye infection, or some kind of foreign object may be stuck in it. Only a vet can do a correct diagnosis and tell you what can be done to help.
take the cat to the vet for blood work, a physical exam, and tests.
an upper respiratory infection, conjunctivitis, dust or dirt in the eyes, or a scratched eye due to a fight, are all possibilities when your kitty has it's eye closed. Veterinary observation is the best way to find out what it is.
your cat might be keeping its eye closed if it has an enlarged pupil. obviously, the ultimate way to find out what is wrong is by taking it to a vet.
