    I recently adopted 2 cats, a one-year old female from a shelter (4/21/10) and a 3 1/2 month-old...

    male kitten from a foster home (7/11/10)  The female went from a healthy-looking 5 lbs (she is very small) to 8.7 pounds and the kitten has chronic diareah (sorry, I don't know correct spelling).  I spoke to a woman at a pet store the other day (she is associated with AFRP (animal friends rescue project where these 2 both came through) and she asked me what I was feeding them.  They apparently had both been on Premium Edge cat food before I adopted them - no canned food.  She told me it was inexpensive and did not have the "bad stuff", by-products, corn, wheat, soy, preservatives, etc.  I knew
