My dog likes to lick her paws and legs. We have done everything to stop her. What can we do?
She has bumps all over her back. There is pus in the bumps.
I don't know what is YOUR problem with that when an animal does what is natural to it. As long as it does not lick MY paws and legs, it should be okay for me!
Sorry to hear your dog is having skin problems. I would suggest taking her to the vet to obtain a cone and maybe even some medication to help the healing of the bumps.
take her to the vet meanwhile let her soak in a sulfadine shampoo for ten to fifteen minutes then rinse with warm water
If you think the licking is possibly obsessive, try using some sour apple spray. You can purchase a small bottle in a pet supply store. It is specifically to stop obsessive licking. It works great on my dog. I wouldn't spray it directly on a hot spot if its red and inflamed but you could spray it on the fur after the bumps are healed to prevent a repeat performance.
Just leave it alone all dogs do it or take her to a vet
