What is the cleverest behaviour your cat has ever displayed?
When I lived in a town my cat Spike used to use a rainwater drain to pee in - just like his very own loo.
Well, Bianca died many years ago, and often she seemed kind of stupid, but she was able to get underneath a hook-and-eye closure and open it, unlocking a cabinet. My late husband installed that hook-and-eye just to keep her out of that cabinet!
Our rescue Turkish Angora mix can open doors (door knobs, mind you), turn light switches on and off and turn faucets on and off. He's quite a handful.
I had a cat who - if I laid my guitar down flat - would attempt to "play" it with his little teeth.
The best out of the current group is the one who has observed my morning routine enough that she knows the first thing I do is take my medicine which involves opening a bottle of water and putting the cap on the bedroom windowsill. This means she immediately goes and starts feeling along the edge of the windowsill to find the bottlecap so she cat steal it to play with. Just me going in to the bathroom makes her jump up and start feeling along the sill.

I just did...and although I'm not spooked by it...It was pretty vivid for the moment I was in...I'm going to be watching closely to see how details of my day turn out. I feel like there might be a connection to "Deja Vu" moments...and things that we dreamed of ahead of time. Just a...
