Neuter all mutts. Purebreds should be neutered unless there is an intention to breed... Most all dogs, I believe, should be neutered.

It's a personal decision - no one answer is right for every owner & dog.  There are pros and cons for each side.  Each dog owner should do their own research, talk to their dog's vet, and make an educated decision for each individual dog.

The pet population is already inundated.  There are thousands upon thousands of abandoned, abused, and homeless animals, including dogs.  Neuter your dog and help reduce the pet population.

It is best to neuter your cat or dog.   There are way too many over-populated shelters.   And either way, it won't have much effect on the animal other than they won't be able to have babies anymore.  Sometimes they will become "lazy" and could get fat since they aren't roaming around looking for someone to mate with, but if you give them a healthy diet and plenty of exercise they will be just fine.

A thought to ponder: If we neuter all dogs (and cats for that matter), dogs would sooner or later become extinct.
    It is a personal decision.
