    They don't see colors or details of things nearly as well as we do but it is something to do with that fact that they are at least six times better than us at seeing in the dark.  I've heard that having very brightly colored objects are good in homes with cats. As hunters their vision is more geared to changes or movement in their surroundings.

    Its eyes are sensitive to very weak light. It has been suggested that the eyes of cats, owls and other creatures which hunt by night may be able to use rays that do not affect our eyes.
