Depends on what you want it to do. If you want to train it to sit up, beg, roll over--then the best way is to initiate a reward system. If you wish to train your husky to be a Cujo-like killing machine, then you must train him in the art of killing and then inject him with rabies.

I have an almost 9-year-old Siberian Husky.  I can certainly tell you that they need constant interaction as pups.  We trained our boy, Anakin, with the reward system.  That being said, he exhibits his trained behaviors when he wants to.  If he feels bored, he becomes very ornery.  If I tell him "no" about something, he finds a way to get me back.  He gives me what I like to call "the side eye"... he will look anywhere but directly at me, and he peeks out of the corner of his eye to see what kind of reaction he's getting.  He likes to cause trouble occasionally, but he does not like it when Mom (me) is angry with him.  If I point my finger at him and give him a stern talking to, he might lick my finger or he'll talk back in his native Husky language.  Haha!  On a positive note, we trained him in just the basics - once he really felt like he was part of the family, his guard/protective instincts really kicked in.  He's very protective of us and of his Bichon brother, Brian, as I've written about in one of my Hubs.  He takes his queue from us - if any of us feel uncomfortable around someone, he seems to sense that and you can see the change in his demeanor.
