Have you ever made a slide show video with Windows Movie Maker?

I did this week, it was a lot of fun and the learning curve went fast. In a short day and a half I went from zero to publishing the video on YouTube. Cool!

I have, and I agree about how quickly one can learn to make a video.  I've made three YouTube videos and one other - all just for the purpose of learning how to make a video.  They all some flaws in them, but I've learned from them and now know how to do better.    I also went through the process of converting the files for watching on TV and putting on my smart phone.  I'd recommend that as a final "primary learning" step.

The first two YouTube ones I made are really, really, "the height of basic" (and they're horribly boring to boot    lol).   I had second thoughts about even posting them, but I figured there's a lot worse than they are on YouTube (even if mostly every other video on there is a lot better than they and even has redeeming value).

The third one I really had fun with (and some family members have gotten some laughs out of).   I couldn't believe I found myself doing this, but I took a troll doll (called, "WishNik Man") outside one Sunday morning, took pictures of him, altered them, and made "him" a Star.    lol    My fourth video is a serious one, and because it is I learned even more from making it (but I'd also had the experience with making the few before it, which is what points out how easy it is to make something better than a WishNik video for YouTube.

Although I don't plan to embark on a career in YouTube movie-making, I am planning a sequel to the WishNik Man movie once the available outdoor location changes from leaves to snow.     smile   smile    I hate to admit it because my videos (especially the third one) are all such "stupid silliness" that they embarrass me, but I have't had that much fun on the computer since I first got one that could handle tons of graphics and music.    smile   (Of course, I do remain kind of concerned about what my neighbors may have been thinking if they happened to look out that Sunday morning and see me taking all kind of pictures of a troll doll.    lol)       .......but, yes, I share your apparently new found enthusiasm and would recommend that even people (like me) who had little interest in making videos at least try to make a couple (no matter how silly), just because it's a lot of fun.  "The Story of WishNik Man II" (the sequel) is scheduled to released later this year.     smile   (Something else I learned when I searched YouTube to see if I was the only one on Earth still familiar with troll dolls/Wishniks:  It appears there's actually an over-abundance of troll-doll videos on YouTube.   lol)
