Do you slow down or pick up speed when the traffic light turns amber?
I always slow down. I live and work in a metropolitan area and there is a lot of bad driving. Besides I'm never in a hurry.
It's largely based on how close I am, an obscure algorithmic calculation (that just kind of happens), whichever song is playing on the radio, presence of police officers, children, small woodland creatures, and ducks. I also live in a metropolitan area that is known for bad drivers...I am one of the bad drivers.
It depends on where I am on the rode when it turns amber. I always slow down if I have time to stop in time. If not, I speed up to go thru it before it turns red.
I am honestly going to have to say i speed threw all yellow lights, most being red by the time i actually pass the stop strip. Cannot say i am proud of the fact, but i have not been in one wreck yet. Not saying i wont but i hope i don't maybe i will consider stopping now that it was brought to my attention. Good Question
