Does anyone have any ideas what might cause some weird electrical behavior in my van?

I have a 2002 Chevy express van.  I recently had the flywheel and starter replaced.  Now  it won't start, it doesn't turn over at all.  The battery is good and all connections are solid.  When I open the hood the gauges on the dashboard start to jump around even with no key in ignition.  The light under the hood also varies from dim to bright  randomly.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know what's causing your problem but I do know that once you start having electrical problems, get a new vehicle.

    1. Wiring has corroded over time through oxidation, causing shorts
    2. Contacts have oxidized or rusted
    3. Wiring connections are coming loose
    4. The control board / motherboard is starting to malfunction

you have a short in one of the wires, probably to the starter.
Call the mechanic who replaced the flywheel and starter have him check the wiring to the starter especially.
Sounds like a short in one of the wires.
