Part-time jobs are ideally suited for housewives who cannot devote more hours for work, for retirees who may not be able to work full-time for health reasons, and university students who want to make some money during free hours to support their education expenses. Even many full-time employees opt for an additional part-time job driven by a need to earn some extra money.

As the concept of letting employees work during flexible hours has not caught on in India, there is a plethora of part-time jobs available. There are also a host of employers who have need for part-time employees as the nature of work does not demand full-time work. Hundreds of part time jobs are also available in areas like online jobs, project-based jobs, coding, typing, sales, accounts, computer maintenance, documentation, packing, baby-sitting, teaching, home-tuition, market survey, customer care etc. One can reasonably expect to earn around Rs. 5000 to Rs 7000 by working 4 to 5 hours a day.

Surveys have shown that the people working most on part time jobs are housewives and retirees. Tough or not, housewives seem to be able to balance work and home life well. Senior citizens retire, and in an attempt either to keep themselves busy or to make some money for their medical expenses, take up a part time job. Many companies favor retirees as the senior person has years of experience that they bring with them to the job.

To get a part-time job, you can search the classified advertisement columns in all leading newspapers. The quickest way of getting a part time job is to search online and/or register with online recruitment agencies.

      The system of doing Part-Time job is new in India. Day by day more people are coming forward to do part time job.
