Have you ever called in sick when you were not?

Did it come back to haunt you?

When I was 18, I worked for a bank and it seems every Monday morning, after a nice weekend, I was "sick" and called in. It came back to haunt me when I applied for another job and they told me they would hire me but that they almost didn't because I was absent so often from the other job.

I cleaned up my act from that moment on.

Yes I have - usually only when it is serious family stuff but the guilt trip lasts for weeks! I hate doing it. But when all is said and done my family come first. Up till now, and I've been working for 30 years now, it hasn't come back to haunt me, maybe because I'm not off sick that often anyway.
