What is the dirtiest job you have ever done?

We all have to do some dirty jobs from time to time. Mine are featured on my hubpage - what is yours?

I guess it is tied between sweeping up a dry cleaning establishement and busing tables at the restaurant next door.

I worked in a cafeteria dish room. I cleaned dirty dishes and took out huge bins of trash. It was really gross, but it paid well annnnnd I got super buff from lifting heavy trash bags and trays of clean dishes.

I was a nanny for three small children when I was 19 years old.  While caring for the kids wasn't really all that dirty, there was a particular dirty incident that will forever be etched in my memory involving the family dog.  Morgan, the dog, was probably around since the time of Moses, he was that old.  One morning he was out on his runner in the yard while I gathered the kids for swim lessons.  As I went out to let him in, I noticed he was laying perfectly still in the hot sun.  I clapped my hands to get his attention all to no avail.  Closer and closer I walked clapping and calling his name.  About two feet from him is when I noticed the flies circling his body.  I knew he was dead so I did the only thing I could think of:  I called my mom.  She calmed me down and told me to call the father of the kids.  He asked if I could put the dog in the laundry room until he got home since it was such a hot day and he didn't want him to rot in the sun.  There was no way I was picking up a dead animal carcass with my bare hands so I got huge rubber gloves for cleaning the oven from underneathe their sink.  I had to force myself to grab onto Morgan's body...he was completely stiff.  When I lifted him in front of me to carry him in the house all of the fluids and excrement leaked out of his body and onto my flip flop clad feet.  Definitely the dirtiest job I ever had to perform!

J Whitman that is definitely the dirtiest job. I ranked burying a dead sheep as my number one dirtiest job on my hubpage alongside another couple of distasteful tasks. And when a bird was found crushed outside my brother's house there was very few takers willing to clean it.

    jwhitman, that is dirty!

My dirtiest job was at a wilderness therapy camp.  Sometimes I went a whole week without showering.
