Yes, but I think that has always been the case. These qualities (specialist, flexible, multitasker) are simply the qualities that make a good worker.
I do believe that it takes whatever you've got on every level. You have to be the best at everything you do, and you have to make people believe it. Give everything. Reap the benefits.
