What are you going to do if your boss embarrassed you in a company meeting?
You did not agree to the suggestion of your boss. You did your disagreement in a professional and constructive way. However, she did not take it the way it used to be and embarrassed you in the meeting.
Very Unprofessional of a Superior or anybody in a meeting. I've been around a long time, and seen this many times. It's sad to think that some how people believe that they have all of the answers, and don't value anybodys opinon.
No doubt boss is always right but he or she should listen to all his or her team members and allow free and fair discussion on any topic of organisational interest. Boss should encourage discussion and not arguments to arrive at some conclusive decision. The foremost principle should be to either convince or get convinced and embarrassing the team mates will discourage them not to come forward with new ideas.
