Sweetycat Press is looking for work ~
    https://www.sweetycatpress.com/blog

I haven't submitted anything yet, but I thought some of you might want too.

SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR ZOOANTHOLOGY. HERE ARE THE GUIDELINES:

AN ANTHOLOGY ABOUT THE ANIMALS IN YOUR LIFE.

I will be accepting up to 200 Prose works (Fiction or non-fiction, and memoir) (between 500 words and 1000 words, no more, no less) and poems (between 10 – 25 lines) that fit the Zooanthology theme.

For this anthology, an animal is anything that isn't human. I'm looking for non-fiction, fiction, memoirs and poems about that ONE animal in your life, or that you imagined, dreamt of (or had nightmares about), that deserves to be written about and should be shared with the entire world. Your submission can be a pet, past or present, an animal that chose you or a member of your family as its human, but I’m also seeking those occasions of a singular moment with a chance encounter with an animal – like on a farm, at the zoo, in the ocean, trekking through the woods, or on safari. I want prose works and poems that are engaging, heartwarming or heart pounding, works that will produce tears or bring out loud guffaws, terrify me or teach me something about animal conservation, totally true or totally made up, and creatively written.

Paste your prose work or poem in the body of the email along with the bio and photo caption.  NO ATTACHMENTS

Read all requirements under Blog on sweetycat press.

Thanks Brenda. I get that you will settle down for some time and write one too and submit to this anthology. You are such a disciplined girl. I know you will have time for it as well. All the best.

          Rosina...
It's on my to do list.

I've scribbled a few notes, but I've got an MRI of my heart coming up next week...so I'm not certain when I can tackle it.

              Thank you so much Rosina.

Hopefully it will be as easy as my brain MRI...
              Guess I'll find out.

You have been through so much recently, Brenda. I hope you get a normal result with your MRI. I hope you do have time to submit an article. You are a talented poet, and it would be a positive to have it accepted at this. time. You could use something good in your life now. God bless you.

    Congratulations on your article, Rosina.

      Pamela...
I finished my piece for Sweetycat Press & submitted it.
      Steve accepted it for publication.

I'm on my way to hospital for an MRI of my heart.

Glad I got this done beforehand.

I am glad to know that you have submitted your piece to Sweetest Press. I hope all goes well. You deserve a break, Brenda. Let me know about your MRI results, and I guess all of us want to know.

      Pamela..
      I'm home.

It's not the type of MRI I would look forward to having again...but it's done.

      Glad that's over.

I stayed up last night submitting my piece.

I'm so glad Steve accepted this morning.

Congratulations, to both of you, Surovi and Brenda. It’s good to know I will be sharing the same platform with you all again. My poem “Rocky, The Limping Street Dog” got accepted a few days back and that would make this one the 5th anthology for me from Sweetycat Press. Looking forward to its release. Hoping to see a few more hubbers in the anthology. My blessings to you all.

      Farah...
      Congratulations!

I'm happy we both keep getting published with Sweetycat Press.

I actually wrote a short story this time...instead of a poem.

      "Augie's Great Escape"

Your poem sounds like I would love it.  I'll read it when the book comes out.

      Farah...
      Thanks.   It's over.

It's not gonna be on my list of favorite things to do.

I do have those readings you wanted, but no idea how to share them with you.
