Thanks so much for sharing this one
Brenda, I love the message in your article. We all need to help other people.
You have had some good things happen due to the thoughtfulness of others, like John and Steve.
While this is a difficult time, you have things to feel good about. I hope I always get to read your poetry, as it is always beautiful.
Keep smiling and have a good week.
Pamela...
Thank you.
In life, there are always good things ...we just need to appreciate them.
Take care. I hope your heath is getting back to par.
We've all got alot to be grateful for...we need to paass that kindness forward.
Brenda, your letter was touching and very positive. I am gld that Ron made you promise you would go through with the grant application, and new you would uphold a promise no matter how hard life got. There is such a good message here that even the little seemingly insignificant things we can do to help people can make a big difference in their lives.
It was my pleasure to write you a letter of support, along with Steve’s, and I am so happy that your application was successful. The grant couldn’t have gone towards a more passionate person. I look forward to hearing what projects you use it for in promoting your poetry.
Thank you Pamela for sharing this.
Thank you so much John.
I am forever grateful for your kindnesss & your letter of recommendation.
We never know how our little act of kindness will affect another person.
I totally believe we have the power to make a difference.
I will definitely keep you up to date on how this grant helps me throughout my writing career.
Stay tuned & thank you.
John....
The powers to be removed the link to you and Steve.
Your names are still listed, but the highlight is gone.
Very touching and heartfelt stuff, Brenda. I like the positivity that flows through this piece, and the "one step at a time" philosophy is the right way to go when the going gets tough. Thanks, Brenda, for sharing and keeping the dreams alive and kicking.
Thanks, Pamela, for sharing.
Thanks Ravi...
I believe we can help one another.
We, at Hubpages, have proved that through our forums alone.

I am happy to know that Ron and your wishes have come true.
He must be watching you and feeling good about it. People leave, but relationships remain, forever.

I'm glad you like this message.
It's an important one to me.
By Helping others...we can make a difference.
I'm thrilled to receive this grant, but I honestly doubt it would've been possible without a little help from my friends with those recommendation letters.
John Hansen & Steve Carr went out of their comfort zones with a kind and helping hand.
What a beautiful message on the power of togetherness. Congratulations on the practical demonstration by your fellow poets. I'm touched. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ms.Dora
I'm excited that I have been given this chance.
Together we can make a difference.
John & Steve reached out a helping hand for me & it made a difference.
One step at a time...we can all help one another.
Getting that grant in Ohio is a wonderful blessing. The fact that John and Steve wrote letters on your behalf is so touching. We all know that losing Ron creates such a loss in your home and in your heart.
I pry for your healing in every way. I know Good is looking down on you, as is Ron. Things are coming together slowly in your life, and maybe that is all we can hope for, but know the we all care about you.
Thanks so much Pamela.
Hopefully this is a good sign & things are turning around for the better.
It really helps to know my friends are here for me & I was really touched by the letters of recommendation that they both wrote for me.
I am truly blessed.
This is a step in the right direction.
Pamela...
Thanks for your prayers.
I do hope God is looking down upon me & that Ron is truly aware of what is happening
Brenda,
A promise is a promise are such beautiful heartfelt words that are branded on your heart. Your Ron was fortuitous in having you in his life and the same can be said about you.
I am so happy you got your grant and happier still that you have such great friends on HubPages to write a letter for you.
I wish you well in your future in having a grant. You deserve the best that life has to offer.
Best Wishes your Hub Friend.
Bobbi Purvis
PS--I loved the photo of you and Ron--it glowed with love and happiness.
Thanks Bobbi...
That photo was taken on our last vacation.
We were in Pigeon Forge Tennessee, which was one of our favorite vacation destinations.
I'm so glad that I received this award since he knew how important it was to me.
Little surprises like this help to keep me going.
I hope Ron knows I received it & is happy for me too.
Lovely article, dear Brenda. It's indeed true, together we make a difference. Really, one person needs another one especially during hard times. One can bring a smile or courage in another's life to face the trial smoothly.
Thank you,Pamela for sharing Brenda's hub.
Rozlin...
I was certain I replied to yours, but that cookie monster must be hungry again.
It's great to have someone there during hard times, but I think we can make a difference every day by doing little things.
Take care & have a nice day.
Rozlin...
I really miss that encouraging smile or word that helps to get me through these days...especially those moments at home afterwards where you just feel better knowing someone is there.
Hi Brenda, this is a very heart touching and positive article. Yes helping each other out in difficult times really makes a difference. Makes the world a better place to live. Congratulations on the grant. Best wishes for your future. You deserve the best. The photo of Ron and you is beautiful, so real. Thanks for sharing Brenda's article, Pamela.
Than you Vidya.
That photo was taken on our last vacation.
We truly enjoyed kicking back and relaxing.
I am so thankful to receive this grant & look forward to all the doors it will help open.
I do believe we can make this a better world by helping others.
Have a great day.
Inspiring, Brenda.
You are right, even the small things can make a big difference - especially in difficult times. Many congratulations on the grant, you will use it wisely, I'm sure.
Thank you Stephen...
I'm definitely going to try to spend it wisely.
Except I do plan on a hand held camcorder so I can start spoken word poetry....just have to figure it all out.
Helping others is something we can do each day. The simple gesture of kindness is a start.
Beautiful piece of writing. Brenda, I am very saddened to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy.
Thank you Zeenat...
I havent seen your work for awhile, I hope all is fine with you.
I love your poem
A Sweet Whisper
Dear Brenda, I can understand your feelings. Those are normal after Ron's death. A life partner is somebody without whom you can't picture your life. A home is where our life partner is. Well, Almighty will surely make new ways of living this life for you. I will pray for you. Take care.
A tight hug and blessings for you!!
Thank you Rozlin...
I've been having a few more issues & have been back to hospital.
I've got another appt this afternoon.
It's trying when I'm used to him being with me, but I'll push through.
Hopefully I'll be back on here later.
I am working on new word prompt.
