I'm taking the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge

Updated on October 18, 2015

Yes you read right I am going to take the plunge and try my hand at the '30 hubs in 30 days' challenge! I feel I need a bit of a kick to get myself writing some more, and this may be the perfect thing for me.

I nearly managed it by accident in my second proper month on here as I wrote 27 in June. I didn't even know about the 30 for 30 challenge at the point, and if I had I may have made the push to write those extra 3, but never mind. This is the month I am going to try hard to complete it. I am away for the last few days of August so will either have to manage the 30 hubs before I go away or just take off the 3 days and add them on when I get back (I know that's not strictly the rules, but this is my personal challenge, so it's my rules)

I'm not doing this purely for the monetary gain, but obviously that would be a great bonus. I would like to see if publishing more hubs in quick succession will actually drastically increase my views and in turn my hub earnings. But what I simply want is to get myself writing more quality posts and more frequently again.

Why I'm taking this challenge

I've been inspired to take this challenge by a few hubbers who I have been following for a while and who have taken the challenge themselves, or who are just great hubbers who have encouraged and commented on my writing.

First Millionaire Tips who has taken not only the 30 hubs in 30 days but also the 100 hubs in 30 days which is an insane but amazing achievement

BillyBuc - he was one of the first people to ever comment on one of my hubs and one of my first followers. He has been very helpful and great support since I started and he inspired me to keep going.

Viking305 - Is another of my first followers and commenters. I'm inspired and helped by her writing online hubs and she is always encouraging my recipe work. Thank you!

ChristyWrites - Is one of the many great hubbers I have been following for a while and she has given me some great tips on my writing and hubbing in general

The Hubs

So this is hub number 1! Wish me luck

Updates

10.08.12 - As you can see my writing has slipped a little due to a lot of general work the last few days, but I will get back on track asap. My hits have been going down last few days but my earnings are still doing pretty well. The hits figure is from Google analytic - I'm not really convinced its that accurate as its always pretty different to the Hubpages hits. Never Mind

Ok as you can tell i never managed the 30 during the 30 days of this challenge. But I did get to 20 odd! Sadly this was one of those times that life just got in the way, as it has a tendency to do, it can't be helped. What I will say is that I learnt that I really could write a hub a day if i set my mind to it (if life is calm!) and it does help to boost your overall views and earnings if you update often, with new content. but even when you arent active your hits can still be great and your earnings will keep growing - just maybe not as fast. I will definitely be trying again soon!

November 2012: I'm doing this challenge again this month and you can keep up to date and check out my hub on it here: 30 hubs in 30 days Challenge...again

Pretty sure I'm not going to make all 30 sadly as I got stuck with a lot of other work for the last 2 weeks which really pushed me off schedule! But I am happy that it has spurred me on to write more hubs and I am seeing an increase in views and earnings. Thanks

Good for you. I don't have the stamina to tie myself into the 30/30 challenege. I'm sure if I did and was unable to make my quota I'd feel worse then just no participating. I admire the people who are able to crank out 30 hubs. Good luck!!!

Well I've slipped a little over the last 3 days but I'm pretty sure I will pull it back when I have a little time next week. You should try it too!

30 hubs in 30 days is certainly a challenge. I haven't attempted it yet but am considering it. I'll be watching your progress for inspiration!

Yep that's my kinda thinking. I have a weird amount of knowledge on some things, somebody else may want to know someday! So I think this challenge will help me get some of the more 'useless' random knowledge out there!

that seems like a good challenge being I too have lots of useless daily information but the information is not completely useless because someone can use it.

Well my friend, best of luck to you! I thought it was very good for me to do; it taught me organization, and it got my name out there for all to see on a daily basis. I'm sure you will do fine and I'll be alone for the ride.
