Writer? Top Websites!

Updated on September 10, 2012

Writing, Earning, Money

We all started at hubpages to simply write, didn’t we? Well, I started at hubpages because I wanted to write, publish a few of my thoughts and really start focusing on the fact that I am a writer. You see hubpages, has helped me greatly to focus on my writings and to be better at writing. So if I can help others find the path of writing, learning and earning money well, then here are the tips that will help you when working with hubpages, google and other writing websites!  Good luck to all!

Google, Adsense, Adwords, It helps!

Google, Try it!
Google, Try it!

Research and Learn about Making Money

Well, over the last few months I have come to terms that in the web virtual world, writing is politics, yes, like all other things in our lives, the writing society has to learn the politics involved with writing and earning money. Through my journey I have reviewed the “Google AdWords Keyword Tool” so many times, finding the highest paid words to write about or topics to research. This was of course, after I wrote my non-paying poems, short stories and even my self-help lessons about life in general. Don't get me wrong, these stories I wrote were real, raw and true. The were essentially healing me as I was writing them, so I earn something from my writing that was priceless no doubt!

After writing for a few months, I realized I did want to make money from my writing. That passion is within me but I want to make money for what I love doing and I love to write. So I started researching and began to publish articles (a.k.a. hubs) to make money. Thus, I initiated the journey of my writing life thus, to start making money from what I love doing the most.

Google AdSense Traffic?

Google, Backlinking, Money, which one?

So, after researching on Google, Yahoo, and many other search engines, I found out that you make more money writing about these words; mortgages, auto insurance, insurance, money, rental, home, hotels, quotes, and many other words and phases that can make you more money per each click. But is it about the pay per click or about what you enjoy writing, that is what you have to decide! I wanted to give some other hubbers that have helped me through my journey and maybe they will help you too:

What I Wish I Knew When I Started by WryLit - great for just starting, she does wonderful job of outlining what you need to learn in the beginning!

Using Google AdSense and Hubpages To Make Money Online by Rebecca E. - if you have never read her hubs, then you NEED too! She has taught me so much with all her hubs. Wealth of knowledge and she shares it freely and honestly!

Improving Your Hubscore by Relache- at some point you will want to know the answer to this question. Relache has a lot of experience her and this hub helped me understand my Hubscore and what I was doing incorrectly it. It will help you!

Hubpages Help by Frogdropping- she is a wealth of knowledge and this help is so helpful for new hubbers but just learning overall at whatever stage provides help!

How to become an Elite by Cardisa - she has captured the important part of trying to be an elite with Hubpages. These are the priceless tips of being the best you can be. Read and learn from her, it's awesoem!

Amazon Affiliates: Set Up Your Own Account by Waynet - great hub that explains the benefits of Amazon and who to use it. I used this hub and it helped me get Amazon all set up and some extra tips too!

Remember, these are the articles that helped me, I hope they will help you. However, there are many, many hubs out there to help you with whatever issue you are working on when trying to write online. Hubpages helped me so much and if you want to join this awesome community, join here because you will only continue to learn and make money!! Google is a huge massive search engine that provides support and helps you along the way, plus, you can make money. Find your writing style, do your research, find the word, phrase or topic that works best with your writing format and start writing. Google and many other search engines are out there, just start writing, you will make money.

Wish I'd found this earlier. I'm just now exploring how to find better keywords that will index and rank higher faster. Now I see that I need to find keywords that do all that and pay good. Makes sense. Something else to factor into my next hubs. Thanks for the hub.

Thank you for this wonderful article and for your recent kind comments on my hub, "Tales from Tickle Belly Farm." I know that my hubs will never garner much money but I hope to reach an audience of children, families and teachers who can use some old time fun activities. You and your writing has been very inspirational! Please keep writing for all of us!

I read this with interest first because you write well, secondly because I was interested in seeing if you could put a new spin on this topic. Many HubPages have covered this just as well, but I like that you linked other Hubs here, and posted a list.

Personally, I'd LOVE to make money at this, but I don't think I will write about just anything. Of course that might change. but for now. No.

It seems to be a trend here. I've only been here about 3 months. Have just gotten to know some pretty good writers, and boom, they leave. Not literally but they start using HubPages to write for money, and I don't read their hubs any longer because they really have nothing to say that's new, and have not been able to write the articles that grab my attention when they write for this motive.

Don't get me wrong, I think it can be done, I just haven't found many that can combine the two.

I do however wish you the best of luck in your endeavors and hope you can manage to write about Insurance, Mortgage, Loans, or Money, make your own money at it and continue to write great hubs

Edmi, first question, if you are interested go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and then change the "Choose Columns To Display" Choose the CPC and gives you the dollor amount. Second question, "many google" was the suggested tag and I added it, suggested tag from hubpages, not my choice.

Jane, Thank you so much for readying

Wesley, This is a work in process, no doubt. Thanks for sharing my friend.

Sorry I have one more question. One of your tag for this article is 'many google'. Is it some trick to get more traffic or just a mistake...I am very new to this field, so just learning from you all.

Ladybird, I have one question. What is the source of this information about the top paying keywords and its volume.

I have to agree with Dohn, I have been publishing articles/hubs that are more stories and etc. I too use the keyword tool to search for titles but I am still working on learning the entire process. I imagine that this job is like any other. You must first do and then learn how to do it better as time goes by. Thank you for enlightening us all.

Dohn, thank you for reading and yes, I just like to write, the money is secondary to me, however, it's easy to be caught up in the "money" fever.

Immartin, I like to write and I will write for me more than money, but I think we are all influenced by making money, which is why I wrote this hub. I hope it helps others. So happy you responded and was honest, appreciate it.

I enjoyed your writing immensely, and would like to get to know it better, but to be honest, if you write about things like finance and mortgage, I'll be a lot less likely to read you.

But then, that's just one reader's preferences. How about writing without thinking of the money? You'll end up a better writer.

Guess it depends on what you're after. Ad copy writer?

Thank you for writing this, Ladybird33. I enjoyed reading it and could do with some help too! I've been here a little less than 3 months and still finding new things to learn here, especially when it comes to making money. I'll admit, that I don't think about making any money when first writing my hubs--I write them because the topics interest me and if they get lots of clicks then more power to me. I can attest that I write lots of stories and they don't generate any money. But I like writing and sharing them. I guess if I really want to, I'll go the route of an entrepreneur. Thank you! I'll certainly bookmark this one.
