Contact hubber
There are two options for this in a hubber's profile. I can click on contact "name", which has an icon of an envelope beside it. And I can click ask "name" a question. I want to contact a hubber to ask a question, but how can I do this without giving away my email adress?
As far as I know, you can't message (contact) a Hubber without your email showing up. If you're concerned about privacy, you may want to change your email settings and create an email address that doesn't reveal your name.
You may also check to see if the Hubber has a blog, Twitter or other social media account listed in their profile. Perhaps you can send a message through one of those.
Hope this helps! Others here may have additional info.
I've had people ask me questions, and as far as I've noticed, I don't see their e.mail address. The question will show up on "questions" (and maybe on one's own account or profile wherever new stuff for the Hubber shows up), and if the Hubber has notifications set to "notify if someone asked me a question" he'll get an e.mail from HP with something like, "click on this question to answer it". If I recall correctly, once I've clicked I get to my own account where the question and the other Hubber's name shows up - and then I can either answer or ignore it.
Maybe someone else can confirm whether I'm correct about this or not.
I have contacted a hubber recently and by the time I received the reply from her, I saw my email address showing above my question, I can also see the sender's email address.

It would be delightful if there was an easier way to contact some of the Hubbers. I have not done that often, since transferring from Squidoo, however - each time I wished to, I had to remember how to do it. When I am on my profile page, and someone shows up who I am following, the message in blue...

I have received two unsolicited emails now from a hubber requesting me to send him my email address. I find it a bit creepy. I just deleted the first one. Should I ignore it or report it? I have had legitimate email contact from other which I have welcomed and responded to.

I was hoping to open a second Hub Pages account for "other" writings. I have tried to do this, but getting a message that I need to use a different email account. Is there any way to open a second Hub Pages account under the same email address? Thanks.

So what's happening is it seems that I have to reply to reader questions using my own personal email. I have been through the settings on my hp account and nothing seems to work. I don't want to NOT respond to people, but it seems like some questions I get are legitimate, but then just turn out to...

Today, to help people more easily contact an author, we added a link to email the author that respects the author's setting in their preferences. Hopefully, this will lead to folks getting a few good emails from time to time.
