Would I benefit more posting videos on HubPages or YouTube?

I am thinking of adding more videos to some older hubs. I only have one video hub, and I uploaded the video straight to HubPages. Do you think it would get more views and help the article more if I posted directly to HubPages, or put it on YouTube and linked to it in my hub?

I don't think it would hurt to do so, no. I would recommend putting it on your YouTube channel and then linking it in HubPages, so then people can go onto that site if they're more comfortable there (or due to playback options). You might even get some subscribers out of it too, so I would recommend uploading to YT, rather than putting the raw video on HP.

As I'm no expert in video hubs though I can't say for sure.

Thanks! I'm no expert either, but I think some of my hubs might benefit from it and wanted to test the theory.

I would highly recommend putting the video on YouTube rather than HP. If your older hubs are doing well, I would leave them alone. Plus, there are several perks for adding videos to YouTube. Including a base of followers.

Thanks for your input! I have some older hubs that I was thinking of fixing up and adding a video to, so while they aren't terrible they haven't been seeing a lot of action lately, either.

I agree with JohnGG. If you upload your videos to YouTube and then link to your hubs, you will get a lot of traffic direct from YouTube. I sometimes just look at videos randomly on YouTube when I've got 5 minutes to spare (waste!)

If you only upload them to HubPages then you are only going to get traffic from people who are looking for info-type articles.

I guess that is true! I sometimes end up browsing YouTube in my spare time, so it probably couldn't hurt to host the videos there.

I do agree with earlier advises to upload the videos to YouTube as your videos may get more popularity when bloggers like me embed the good informative videos into their blog posts. YouTube videos can not only be linked with HP but also create more followers through other media too.

Thanks for the advice! It seems like everyone agrees that YouTube is a better option.
