Has anyone been denied and ebay account? I was, I was wondering if I filled out the application wrong.
I am wondering what url and business descriptions you used because I am going to try again.
thanks,
sandy
I was denied, but it was more like, "We cannot accept your application at this time." So I applied again and followed the advice from hubpages which outlines each and every step, and they denied me again. Oh well! Good luck to you, I'm done trying. In fact, if I get accepted by chance in the future, I may send them a reply that says, "I'm sorry, but I cannot accept your acceptance at this time."
Same story here! but if and when they'd accept, Pam, i'll borrow your line!
LOL Cris! Sure thing.
We might as well have some fun out of it.
Hahah! I also that line you quoted from Ebay... I'm not alone! Well..Seems that you are already satisfied with your earnings ^_^ Share us some tips!
I was also denied in Ebay... I sent them an email regarding the matter and they said that they are going to reevaluate my application. I asked them to inform me why I was denied but they said that they could not disclose it to me.
But they also encouraged me to re-apply again after some months if ever my application would not be updated.
Sandra, I've heard of a few people being denied. I was already registered on the ordinary eBay site and had a good feedback rating as a buyer and seller, so I made sure I used the same name and email address I used for that - and I got approved no problem.
thanks Marisa.
Anyone else have an account before you signed up with ebay?
I was denied, then approved within 24 hours. Sounds like their system is a little screwy.
hi all;
well I;ve read the messages and re-applied again.
I'll let you all know if I'm approved or denied again!;
I applied again and was denied again, actually emediatly. maybe it is screwy.
I dunno. but yeah let us know or me know what happened. thank you.
I applied twice too and got denied both times... I wrote Hubpages about it and they said that they are not sure why this happens, but it may be because we are too new and not have built up a presence yet, so when we have more articles published we should try again.
I have been on eBay since 2002, and I have never been denied anything. When I came to U.S., I had no credit, nor I had any online reputation, but I wasn't denied then. Now the rules have changed a bit, but unless you are a known shill bidder or have a terrible track record, you should be approved.
I think you are mixing regular ebay account with affiliate ebay account. They are different.
Maybe you could write to them, rather than keep filling out applications
13 months as a hubber should be good enough to get you approved
A second thought
Signup as a developer. developer.ebay.com
I can't remember if i signed up there first or not. I've had a sellers account for a few years too.
make sure you get your API keys
that may be a work around to get approved, if they think your developing software. or you could even use their php or asp scripts on a domain
This could be caused by lots of reasons. When you apply for a new account using the details of your old account, there would be a number of whoops they ask you to jump. You shouldn't have a problem creating a second account if the first is clean as a whistle (not suspended for violation or something)
I have 100% positive feedback, but never got approved.
It must be the country of origin that matters.
Yes, country of origin is creteria number one beside other creteria.
And Sandra Rinck is from San Diego, Ca.
How did you get 100% feedback when you were never approved. By not approved means you don't have an ebay account.
Having an eBay account means being able to buy and sell. Well, I'm a buyer only.
But joining eBay affiliate program is a totally different thing. I believe it's the country of origin that matters.
Yes, Dec 2nd at 7pm I received:
Then Dec 2nd at 9 pm I received:
I had also been emailing tech support about resetting my password (I thought I had been approved but that the emails were going to an old address - long silly story - but at some point in the correspondence they basically said they were having some issues with notifications. I didn't save all of the emails, so I can't remember the specifics.
Good luck - I hope yours is approved shortly!
Hi all
I have had the same problem. When I try to reapply it tells me that my email already exists and so can go no further. It's as though it has half approved me or they haven't sent a verification email. I have only just started so it's more than likely me
I was denied an eBay affiliate account also and could not change the details to correct my account. I guess I will have to call the Customer Support.
This is sort of what happened to me - it was taking so long I thought I had missed the approval email but then couldn't start over with my email address.
Good luck finding a phone number! But I did get a pretty quick response after emailing customer support (or whatever they called themselves).
I was told in early December that due to an increase in volume, it was taking 2-3 weeks for applicants to be processed, but then I got denied and approved shortly after that email.
well I guess it's an early Christmas gift, but Ebay just approved me today... a little late.
I just added it to some of my hubs
Marry Christmas:D
They sent me an email saying that I could reapply with a different email
I was denied when I applied for ebay international. I tried applying for local ebay www.ebay.com.ph for Philippines and I was approved instantly. Maybe you have it in your country as well. It links up to international ebay anyway. You can buy and sell internationally.
I'll try doing that today! Thanks kababayan!
Ebay is getting very picky about the quality of traffic getting sent to it's network, I know of a few folks who had been using CJ/EPN for years that got banned from their program for whatever reason. It's their ball I suppose, if they don't want to play it's their game to take home.
I was denied an affiliate account... I think I've applied for like more than a dozen times.. all rejected. Sure would like to have ebay auctions on my first hub... but still I can't get myself approved...
First reason can be a previous ebay account closed, suspended or in bad standing. If you had none of these problems then your address, zip code and phone # doesn't match with your credit history or credit card statement. Make sure every thing exactly match and I believe you will not have any problem getting an ebay account good luck. I look forward for the lobster dinner
You can apply for an eBay account and get approved. I have an account from eBay US and eBay PH. But then you will most probably get denied when applying for the affiliate program. That is were I'm getting denied. It would seem that only selected countries can apply... hopefullt that will change in the future...
I tried to apply few months ago. I got denied but they asked me to email them. I didn't. I think that if you have an affiliate program with them and not making any sale, your account will be closed anyway.
Hello Everyone!
I figured out how to get accepted by eBay. On the first screen, you'll see all the checkboxes checked. The first 2 applications I tried (got rejected), I left all the boxes checked. But on the third try which was successful, I chose eBay US only. I had a feeling this was the key. You will have to use a different email address every time until you get accepted. Try this, I know it's what made the difference.
Good Luck Everyone!
Kind Regards

I see from time to time people discussing which hubs have generated eBay sales, but I've never been able to find an actual itemization of any sort in my eBay account of what someone bought. Is there somewhere that tells you that info in the eBay account page and I'm just missing it?

What am I doing wrong on my Ad Sense application? I keep getting denied for insufficient content, but have 16 hubs published and decent traffic. People with less Hubs seem to get approved without issue. I don't understand the reasoning behind the whys. I posted to the Ad Sense forum and got some...

I'm having some issues trying to start monetizing my hubs, but I was disapproved by Google and never received an e-mail explaining exactly why they would not approve me.I know I have one hub that includes rather adult content, which also happens to be my most popular one - Snuff - and it has been...

Hi SeenOnTV, wanted to know if you have not added your ebay account here and still making money?I read the FAQ and it says, revenue does not start unless signed up for adsense and amazon and ebay. So was I worried about ebay account.

Which is the better affiliated program. I used ebay and that is where the bulk of my money is currently being made. Although they are all paid per click, it do get quite a bit of click. As for amazon, I get a couple of view but no buy. Which is really better in the long run?
