Write down few words from the lyrics of the song and let readers guess the song title. Whoever, guess it will be the next to write down the next lyrics and so on...
For example: "Praise with elation, praise every morning. God's recreation of the new day."~
Song title is, "Morning Has Broken"
Now, let's start.
Guess the song: "So come with me and share the view. I'll help you see forever too." ~
Song title ???
Nothings gonna change my love for you!
And if one door opens to another door closed, I hope you keep on walking....
Good job btrbell! I'll let other hubbers guess your song. Anyone?
P.S. I'm not sure why this forum landed under "HubPages Tutorials and Community". Lol! Anyway, let's just have some fun!
...and you find a window
My Wish by Rascal Flatts
And I'd give up forever to touch you 'cause I know that you feel me somehow...
Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
"She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair"
Rusty Cage by Soundgarden
"The blood is on the table and their mouths are choking"
Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog
To continue with this theme....
You thought you made a man; you better think again, before my role defines you....
Show Me How To Live - Audioslave
"Weapons not food, not homes, not shoes"
Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine
You're awesome with the theme thing...lol
So, we'll come full circle....
I train my moods to bloom like flowers unfolding instead of fluttering around and slowly drowning...
....nail in my hand, from my creator.......song title is "Show Me How To Live".
My turn: "Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries.".....
You guys are good! Cris, here's another one....
Elusive as dreams barely remembered in the morning, love like a phantom flies....
No worries, yours was Green, Green Grass of Home.
I will repost mine which has thematic unity with a few of the previous ones:
"Weapons not food, not homes, not shoes"
Steel Rain - Chris Cornell
Maybe now we can take it in a different direction.
"Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk"
Gimme a sec....
Yes, you are right, Desolation Row by Bob Dylan. So hit me with some more lyrics!
Well....I was close.
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
I will post one more and then I will go to bed!
"Pastoral scene of the gallant south,
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth"
One of the most painful songs ever, IMO.
Strange Fruit - Billie Holiday
I don't know if she wrote it, but I know she sang it, and DAMN, that woman could sing.
To bed, really? Now?
G'night then...see you tomorrow.
She didn't write it and I am not 100% sure if she was the first one to perform it. But the song is definitely mostly associated it with her. I agree it is one of the most painful songs ever and Billie could definitely sing! Josh White's version, recorded around the same time period of Billie Holiday's version is pretty powerful as well.
Now I am really going to bed!
Just a comment, this is a nice way to learn new songs:)
@ grand old lady: Yup, but it's also nice to reminisce the old songs. Now, I'm starting it over again with this lyrics: "But now it's my turn to reach and touch the sky. No one's gonna say, at least I didn't try."
Guess the song, anyone?
It's in the lyric..."It's my turn"
"You can check out anytime you like.....but you can never leave."
Hotel California - The Eagles
Don't go changin' to try and please me. You never let me down before....
I LOVE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE by BILLY JOEL.
When the only sound on the empty street is the heavy tread of the heavy feet that belong to a lonesome cop.....
I do not care who is wrong or right, I just do not want to fight no more...............
I Don't Really Wanna Fight - Tina Turner....Let's sleep on it tonight!
From the soundtrack of 'What's Love Got to do With It' with Angela Bassett and Lawrence Fishburne

House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
...a fantabulous night to make romance, 'neath the cover of October skies....
@gmwilliams: Tina Turner's "I don't wanna fight?"
Here's to continue: "I can't fight this feeling any longer and yet I'm still afraid to let it flow. What started out as friendship, has grown stronger.".......
Lol, GOL! You are so funny! Don't tell me you don't know the song. I'll give you a hint, Diana Ross.....
Guess, anyone out there?
"It's My Turn"
To a place I recall
I was there so long ago
The sky was bruised
bonus points for no google search necessary.
Woman, you gave me my MAN....lol
Like a Stone - Audioslave
Yeah, good girl. LOVE Chris Cornell.
I'll tweet one of your hubs.
Outside the streets on fire in a real death waltz
Between flesh and what's fantasy and the poets down here
Don't write nothing at all, they just stand back and let it all be
And in the quick of the night they reach for their moment
And try to make an honest stand but they wind up wounded, not even dead.....
I know you want to leave me but I refuse to let you go............
@gmwilliams: "Ain't to Proud to Beg"...The Temptations? OMG, this is so Jukebox era. Made me miss my dad. Lol!
How's this? "I realized the way your eyes deceived me with tender looks that I mistook for love......."

She's well acquainted with a touch of the velvet hand, like a lizard on a windowpane
Arlo Guthrie's "City of New-Orleans"?
My turn :
Fireflies in the night and bullfrogs croakin'
Well, here comes the train and boy, is she smokin'?
Headed out from New Orleans and clear to L.A.
