Okay where do I start?!!!
Minnesota today or maybe the LAST WEEK! has been the most depressing thing in the world!
If you dont live in MN you are a lucky soul!
Consider yourself very forunate!
BOOHHH! Its -24 degree F and Dont get me started about the Wind Chill! Im on a quest to find the hottest place on earth! Dont pinch me from my dream or you'll be the SORRIEST HUBBER EVER BORN OF MAN KIND!
I live across the border from MN, lol...I love the winters and I use to live in Toronto .. but I absolutely love the solitude here my sons get frustrated though ... suppose there's only so many times one can go fishing, hunting, canoeing, swimming, snowshoeing, skating, etc...lol..don't you have relatives in the city that you can go visit? I have sent my 2 sons off to Toronto to visit their older brother and sister and grandparents, a few times over the last few years. Other teens have gone to live with uncles and aunts in the city. Just offering an idea to think about.
I'm in Ontario..it's minus 24 celsius here right now with a windchill of -30. I hate winter...
LOL thats exactly why I moved out of MN. I used to live in Duluth and the weather is absolutely horrible. Its always fun trying to go to work in the morning and your car door is frozen shut :S
Hey I dint realize how diverse the locations of hubbers were!
That's pretty cool, Ive always wanted to visit Canada! One of my favorite music artists is from Napanee Ontario!
Duluth isnt bad, but one time for spring break my family went up to Duluth, I came outside to see the barges come in and I could see snowflakes touching me nose! Im not one to really fuss about the cold but anything below Zero is not cool with me! Anway My birthday is on April 22nd and you just never know what the weather is like. Many times I have recieved snow!
I <3 winter! It was -10 at my house this morning, and -20 in Burlington, Vt, where I'll be moving this summer.
Oh. . .I always wonder what it's like out in Virginia, and South Carolina and the East Coast! mmmmm . . . .It seems like it is warm but maybe the ocean makes up for it.. . . Anybody really know?
I lived in Williamsburg, Virginia (also known as Tidewater ... or the peninsula) from 2001-2007 ... and loved it! The weather was mild. Flowers bloomed in very early spring ... and the last winter there it snowed twice ... the first time it melted with a few hours and the second time it melted within a few days.
Now I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Last night the temperature dropped well below zero. There's an inch or so of snow on the ground. Not enough for great photographgy, or really cool snowmen ... but I imagine there will be more before long.
Oh woops! I just realized that you said Vermont! Sorry dude! Um yeah but does anyone know still?
I must be wierd ... I love the 2-5 ft of snow...n all the outdoor activities that go with it, lol
Yep, Minnesota is pretty much the icebox of the world. I lived near Duluth for two years, and the one thing that I honestly miss about winter is the wood stove where we burned all the firewood we cut. There's nothing like being indoors next to a wood stove while a blizzard's raging outside. I'm in San Diego right now and it's almost 90 degrees out. 90 degrees in winter is just boring. I guess I'll have to go to the beach
thanks indy cindy! Thats pretty cool, I guess what state I want to live in now!
Benijmester, it sounds pretty fun to have 90 degree weather,
I guess I dont know if I woul;d really like it though. I have a lot of skin problems from teh sun, maybe that type of weather isnt good for me?!
Yeah, I just moved to MN 9 days ago, and so far, I'm HATING it! The weather sucks, I'm having trouble finding a job, I'm sick of having to tell the passengers of my car, "oh, just so you know, because they have no idea what a snow plow or a salt truck is, we might not stop at this stop sign, and we might just spin out and hit that light pole." Besides which, the people are straight callous and rude! My car spent the last 24 hours stalling out on me, and me having to push the damned thing and I want you to know only two people stopped to help and they were at the same location! I'm built pretty much for manual labor but damn I'm only one person, I only weigh 160, come on now, how am I supposed to push a car by my self? People bump into you in the Mall of America, and you say, "excuse me" like a polite little girl and they look at you like you're crazy and don't say a thing! I can't wait to move again.
Hold on there missy, Do you know what Minnesota Nice is?
Things will get better I promise even I after living here for 15yrs can say that!
MN people can be interesting sometimes. Im not a true MNian but you just gotta go with the flo bud, things are going to come around. Hey the spring and summer is beautiful here!
lolz you're like the fifth person to say "Minnesota Nice" and I have no idea wtf that is! Everybody's like "Minnesota Nice does exist just not in that person." What am I missing?
Minnesota Nice means that people can be really nice, but theres a catch. When you are crazy enough to live in MN, you have a few things to learn, MNians seem to get bithchie in the cold because it gets so cold and it lasts for so long some years. Next we tend to keep to our selves and mind our own business. Sometimes tourists or visitors take it personal, its nothing bad or anything. Minnesotan's tend to forget sometimes that we can give off an odd vibe to people that arent from around here. I know its a lot to take in. I never really have gotten used to the weather. I personally have to say that every year is different and Mother Nature plays tricks on us to keep us alive.
Hang in there Rainbow Bite.
here are a few things to do in MN,
go to Duluth when it is warm! Its beautiful in the summer.
go to a Twins game
Go to the Ice Palace thats really cool to see,
go to the MN Zoo in Apple Valley!
There are a bunch of things to do! There a bunch of things that are here to do!
Just look around there are things for every interest!
Wow, thanks for the translation! That Ice palace place sounds like fun, I'll look into it!
the Ice palace it made out of complete ICE! And its pretty cool! They have all sorts of rooms and sculptures and things! The sometimes have live bands and such. I havent gone in a while but its fun! Go soon while the weather is above 15 degrees! Cuz its the shits when it's colder than that! Anyway hope that helps and good luck with stuff.
Let me know if you want me to translate anything else about MN.!

HELP!Okay, I'm over the depressing weather in Porland, OR. I've had my last winter here, I really have. Which is so sad because there's so much we love here- the mountains, ocean, trees, desert, the open-minded attitude and our awesome friends. But, the weather sucks. I miss snow,...

America is divided, in my opinion, and I suspect in many folks opinions. Why? Because of the Democrats? The Republicans? Dubya? The long legged Mac Daddy? (oh you MUST read that one with a cool accent ya hear?)No America is divided because of ego, no one can be wrong. So lets do something about our...

This is a topic many of you avoid. But truth be told, This is something you NEED to hear whether you "want" to hear it or not. Women you have power, but you sometimes seem to forget that when you're in a relationship because you tend to be so vulnerable that you blind yourselves with your...

You could split time between two places based on the season. Summer: Northern Minnesota...lakes, nice weather, clean air, can't beat it.Any other time: Savannah, Georgia. Nice beaches, decent weather even the winter. Good restaurants. Excellent vibe.
