Has it been copied? Wondering why this one Hub is getting so many views. All the rest are sleepers. What would cause that? Help!
You're Not Alone! I've been in the same boat for over a week now but in my case, the one poem that is doing well is on a highly searched topic (best friend- no more.) Poetry just doesn't have high readership to begin with I guess so if you're going to write poetry, the same rule apply as if you want to write a highly read article. Bummer, I know.
Oh Thanks Sphinxs, Yes, I understand about the poetry non-search thing, But, this poem gets views every single day of the year from search engine traffic (not Hub Pages traffic), lots of views, I have no idea why.
The hub of mine about best friendship also gets mostly outside traffic, daily, and makes up the majority of my views overall. It's a strange thing! I guess we're all just writing on a hit or miss basis here.
May be the title then? That would do it I guess. (I'm guessing).
Titles I think are very important and it is not always the calibre of the write, or this is what I think as I have over 70 writes on hubs and strated hubbing almost a year ago, and the one piece that has constantly done well and has over one thousand more hits than any other has Lust in the title and I am confident it is down to search engine searches rather than being of good content, I do think the poem is good and has merit but it is by far my best piece of work.
This hubbing really is a mixture of your talent of a writer and the sceince of the internet !! The trouble with us poets is we seem to be more artistically motivated than technically. But if you want the money you have to play the game I suppose.
But as the other comments say we get very little traffic compared to articles on hubs, but thats life !!

Hi Simba, Thanks for posting. Not sure if you said the Hub that's getting all the views is by far your best or by far not your best (a typo?). I'm going with the title being searched for on mine. It has the words 'free' and 'poem' (free verse poem) in the title. Too funny. PS: I did not do that intentionally.
Ha !! Hi Snakeslane ,
My poem that I'm talking about in my opinion is by far NOT the best I have done, I really feel the titles are what bring in traffic from new sorces TBH
Cheers
Simba
Maybe the title you have for your poetry hub is one that people search for a lot. Recently I've noticed that traffic to one of my poetry hubs has been increasing and I am assuming it is coming from Google. It's a poem with an inspirational message. I am wondering too why the traffic has increased for that particular poem.
You are so correct in my opinion as my most popular by far "three zeros by far" is because it has the word "lust" in it's title and this is probaly a very high hit rate word on google etc
Hi lovebuglena, Thanks. Looks like we are experiencing the same 'Title' search traffic. Interesting.
maybe we should write a poem with porn in the title and see how many hits it gets lol
If you could see my stats you would see what Im saying I have 75 hubs, most have a few hundred hits some less a few more , but the hub with lust in the title is in the thousands, and it's a short piece which is not that great !!
Oh and only one comment too, and between the other 75 hubs I have over 600 comments
Interesting. Voyeurs just looking, not talking...
Just saying what has happened bro ...shows a bit more of human nature than most would admit lol all on my stats ha !!!
Im sure they think it's a X rated peice they must all be dissapointed hence no comments , they just get out of there !!!

How is it that a hub on the 'common mistakes new hubbers make' can suddenly become not featured, in spite of the fact it has had 9 views in a day, 24 views in 7 days and 35 views in the last 30 days? I only replied to comments on it both 42 hours ago and 22 hours ago (from two different hubbers)....

I am kind of tired of this whole traffic thing. Everyone else claims great success, and I can't get a view. I have only 2 views today, and 23 views for the whole week.I have tried everything to get traffic, and nothing is working for me. I even joined several social sites, and my traffic has only...
