Well, I think this is absolutely the best idea HP have had for ages and will do a great deal to improve quality on the site and get the hardworking HubPages staff the money they richly deserve.
Choice quotes from the piece are:
$5 is an absolute bargain!
At last, even terrible writers will be able to feature. Something we can all agree was long overdue.
Another great idea to reduce the burden on overworked staff. I think Simone is going to have to work hard to make her wage, but we can all agree that with the number of posts she makes, the $0.10 needs to be set at that level to avoid her taking *all the monies*!
HP, I salute you for this and look forward to being part of this brave new world and the dawning of a brighter future for HubPages.

I signed up and got everything set up.
Simone was pleased. Since I was the first person to sign up, Simone said she is even going to send me one of her bows as a memento.
I am not sure everyone is in the right mood about this issue to enjoy a jolly joke about it.
What a great idea! Simone may have to work overtime, but we all know she doesn't sleep anyway.
Ha ha! nice one-- so does that mean I pay $100 or $5??? Um... how about them paying me a penny?

Ever since I started working with HubPages, I've received requests for a feature that makes it easy for:1. Signed-in Hubbers to suggest (private) edits to fellow Hubbers' Hubs2. Hubbers (who have opted in to the feature) to receive, review, and approve/deny suggested edits to one's own Hubs. This...

For those of you who don't get the newsletter (or just don't always read it), I thought I'd start a good ol' fashioned forum thread to introduce Simone, our new Community & Marketing Manager extraordinaire! (Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere... there's plenty of Community to go around!...

Those old forum posts at the bottom of the forums are usually irritating, but I found this gem from Simone Smith which, even after all this time, does a better job of explaining the reasons behind HubPages' moderator standards than anything the current staff have...

I'm pulling 2013 kind of randomly, but I really miss how HubPages used to be. It used to be a really friendly place. We used to have kind of an "in" with the administration in that Maddie and Simone would give us advice. There used to be contests to motivate us to write.I understand that...

Wouldn't it be nice if some explanation about the hub came with the above mentioned notices. All you get is the general notice that you hub is overly promotional or substandard and it needs to be fixed. If it is re-submitted and is not fixed properly you could be banned from...
