I have been on the HP earning program since I was approved for adsense. I get around .65 cents a day. I was thinking about switching to adsense and see how well that goes.
Has anyone had any experience going from the ad program to adsense? Did you make more or less?
I've tried it for 2 months and I made a lot less with Adsense. And by lot I do mean lot.
You can turn the Earnings program on and off any time you like - you won't lose access to it. So the best thing is to try it out. Turn off the Earnings Program, wait a month and see how your earnings compare - then decide whether to switch it back on again.
I always recommend the HP earning program. I learn many forums here that HP program is much better than adsense along.
So far, I am happy with HP earning program.
Yeah, even after HP had a CPM drop, I tried using adsense only for a week or two and it did much worse. I think the average user will have a better experience with the ad program, but someone with a high traffic topic with extremely well targeted keywords could stand to do better with Adsense.
I have been on Adsense since 2009, I have only gotten up t0 $34. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but on the other hand I am sticking to it, because maybe one day I will reach the $100 min for them to cut me a send it to my paypal account. Now my nephew does great on it. I have had success with the HP program. I do not recommend Adsense to anyone unless you constantly have traffic going to products.
Can anyone tell me how many hubs i should post in order to start an earning program like Google adsense ?
Do you already have an Adsense account? If so, start using it immediately.
If you don't already have an Adsense account, then wait until you've posted 20 or 30 Hubs before you apply. If you live in India, Pakistan, anywhere in Asia and some parts of Africa, you will automatically have to establish a six months' record before you can apply.
@Marisa, is it possible to have both the programs work together?
Yup Marisa, i already have an Adsense account, but the problem is when I start to access it giving the url , i get a notification in my mail that I lack contents.....I thought it is because I do not have that many hubs to be approved. Now you are saying that I have to wait until my hubs reaches 20 to 30 for my account to open?
If you already have an approved Adsense account (which you got on another site) then you should be able to use it here by pasting your ID into the appropriate place.
I just connected my Adsense to my HP account here. It was all done automatically, I didn't even have to copy-paste my publisher ID from Adsense. Just connected my Gmail account (I do have one) and it immediately recognized my Publisher ID. Let us know if you have any problems, should work easy. This case scenario is if you are already registered with Adsense.
Well I have just over 20 hubs and I am lucky to hit 20 cents per day. It is often far less than that.
.65 cents a day? Well, I don't know what to tell you, but thanks a lot.
Can't you also use both programs?
@WriteAngled so if you would have 200 hubs you would earn 2 dollars a day theoretically speaking, and 1000 hubs 10 dollars a day, but lots of work there
That level of time investment is not worth my while.
An average hub takes me 6-12 hours to research and write.
No indeed, that definitely wouldn't be worthwile.
yes. It says something about it in the help section. Unless i am misunderstanding. I have both going on mine. you just have six ads on a hub instead of three
Here's what the learning center says:
" How Does the Ad Program Work?
In the Google AdSense-only arrangement, each Hub may display three ad units and two link units. If you opt in to the Ad Program, you will have a total of six ads:
One ad unit served through your AdSense account (AdSense pays you)
Five additional ad units, some of which come from Google and some of which come from other premium ad partners (HubPages pays you)"
I'm using hub pages earning program.I have 230+ hubs and my average ad program earning nearly 1$ and eBay earning of 1$ per day . I prefer hubpages earning than the adsense . In Jan 2013 my total earning from adsense is nearly 8$ per month so i shifted to earning program...
I have switched back and forth a few times and have seen a dollar or two difference.
I went back to AdSense because they pay about a week earlier than HP (21st vs 28th) and because I can't direct deposit with HP Ads and I can with Adsense.
The 7 days extra plus having to move money from PayPal to a bank would put me getting paid on the 22nd or 23rd from Adsense as opposed to sometimes the beginning of the next month before the money hits the bank with HP Ads.
If HP Ads paid out on the 21st (or even the 22nd-23rd) and had direct deposit I'd use them.
But surely, once you'd got over the pain of the first month's delay, you'd be in a regular sequence after that?
If the difference between Adsense and the HP Earnings program isn't large, then it's up to you - but personally I wouldn't be sacrificing extra pay just because I have to wait one extra week.
Yeah I only saw a couple of dollars difference in the two programs.
If it were 10 or more...I'd consider changing permanently.
Direct deposit is certainly a consideration. But Paypal is just a middleman. Once deposited to paypal, the funds can be quickly transferred to your bank account. What's a few days. I'm sure you have a credit card to use in case of emergency. That's what credit cards are for.
Why not? Start with a Mastercard...that's a beginner's card. Learn to start using it, paying it (at LEAST the minimum payment each month) and watching your line of credit. That's how they determine creditworthiness. After Mastercard, shoot for a Visa. After Visa, Discover card. Store cards only for emergency, basically, but keep them a little active or they will close your line. Just learn to balance your own budget and use credit wisely.
Well 25...30 years ago when I got my first card I did that.
Swore off credit cards about 10...20 years ago.
I have a paypal account in hubpages , isn't that enough for my earning program? what else should I do in order to make money?
Paypal should be sufficient if you upgrade to a premier account. Link a credit card and a bank account. You may need to upgrade. It's free.
Before the Earning Program, I already have my adsense but it earns really slow, after the earning program my adsense earns even slower. I already received payment twice from the earning program but never from adsense, I've been with adsense even before hubpages but I still can't find the key to improve my earnings from it...
It took 3 years for me to hit pay out with Adsense.
HP program is much, much better!
The HP earning program is working very well for me and much better than adsense, one day one of my hub got more than 2000 views and I made 2,70$ that day and 1,50$ the following day....average 40c per day...I have 56 hubs and facebook helps to get traffic...

Hi,I've signed up and am ready to start making hubs in my specialised subject, but I was wondering what the earning potential of hubbig (if that's a word) actually is. I realise it all depends on how attractive your pages are and how good they are etc, but what are people actually earning? I am not...

Just after being moved from Squidoo, I tried to apply for an AdSense account, which failed for this reason:"Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be...

On browsing the forum, I have become aware that we can't earn on HubPages without AdSense. This is a grim realization for me.I have 29 featured hubs that are generally considered to be of reasonable quality. I applied for an AdSense account over a year ago, and since then I've had nothing. When I...

Hi. I'm new to HubPages and recently published my first hub. I've opted for the HubPages Earnings Program but noticed that the sign-up process is still incomplete. Apparently, I'm also supposed to associate a Google Adsense account. I don't have one and was of the impression that the ads would be...

While I link my Adsense account, it directs me to Google, which then asks if I want to accept the association, I say yes, then it directs me back to Hubpages, but it just loads a blank page, nothing comes up. I could not find anything like this in the help section, is there something else I need to...

I'm getting tired of seeing that I've earned a little money (okay, very little money) every month, being told that I do have an Adsense account AND my Hubpages posts are linked to Paypal, yet I don't get any deposits.I thought for sure I'd find an answer to this issue in the forums, but I haven't...
