The share button (for sharing to the newsfeed) has disappeared from hubs. I've seen other mentions of it too, in the Q&A. Is this a glitch, or is there an upgrade going on that I missed?
You're right - it was available earlier today - I used it to share someone's hub. I'm seeing an ad or something higher up, where the share button, & Pin icon used to be, and the other icons are lower down on the page.
It would be a shame for sharing to go away completely - it's a great way to help new Hubbers get noticed. Hope this is just a temporary thing while they do some tweaking to the layout.
Hey y'all!
This was an intentional change; we wanted the social media sharing section to be more streamlined and to follow readers as they scrolled along the page.
I personally (yes, it is entirely my fault in this case) insisted that the "Share with Hubbers" option to go because I thought it detracted from the other options and added visual clutter to the social media sharing box.
Sorry if I've ruined your day. ;___;
I miss the "share" box we used to have at the bottom of the page. The one that had the short links, and you could grab the URL including your referral tracker... and stuff.
Well, while I like the way the social media share options follow down the article, I really do think it is a shame that the "Share with Hubbers" is gone.
There have been many many times when I have come across a hub and hubber that intrigue me, all because someone shared it with followers. I have also found that when people have shared a hub of mine, I receive more comments and even, on the rare occasion, a new follower.
I hope that HubPages will rethink this change. Thanks for listening.
Due to popular demand, the site sharing function will be back.

There's also a big, blank white space between the top-right ad and the related searches. Then comes the social media, which is now just plain too far down the page. It will cut down the number of shares drastically I think. If this is not a glitch, then it is extremely short-sighted.
Update: I see the social media now floats along with the related searches. Not bad!
Maybe put the social media above the related searches? And keep the floating attribute going; could actually increase shares!
Tired. This concludes my brilliant thoughts for the day.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the "share" button" has disappeared. I hope that is only temporary. Now if I want to share, I go to the feed, and when my comment comes through, I can hit the share button there. That is very time consuming!
I actually like the way the social media share buttons float along the side of the hub, but really hope the share with followers button returns. It's such a great way to find hubbers and hubs that people might not normally see.
Ditto! I agree with you Glimmer Twin Fan. I hope the share button will come back.
Me too!!! Please put the share button back. If I see a good Hub by a newcomer, I always share. I think it helps them in many ways. It helps them get more readers and might boost their confidence.
This is especially true when they have only a few followers who will read their stuff.
Please, please.....
Mary615, this change doesn't surprise me because a few month the Team Welcome Wagon was disbanded which was a great way to encourage new members. Now we can't share their articles with our groups. It's not easy for newbie here now.
On a personal note, the reason for joining here was to help other people. Removing the share button strips away yet another help aid.
I miss the share button too. It has helped me and I have enjoyed helping others. Please bring it back!
I just noticed that the share button was missing. I am very sad to see it go. To me, it was a great way to discover the work of other hubbers.
I just posted on face book about this and am hoping other hubbers will add thier 'we want it back" vote here or on other forums about this. I am fairly new and found such encouragement from people sharing my hubs....and we ALL need encouragement here. I think the hub community is amazing and supportive and we need as many tools as possible to help each other. I got many followers from the share button and have found many that I follow from there. Simone....before you leave us....please give it back!
Yes, we want the Share button back! Simone, it can be your goodbye gift to us! Please!!! :-)

Did HubPages do away with the share button to my followers or did I over use it?I was sharing the hubs I read with my followers earlier today, but now I can see the button anymore. I was wondering if I over used mine or is this the same for everyone else?

Yesterday, a fellow hubber posted on the HP feed about my pi-yo hubs being a nuisance and boring, even when I shared them here on HP and various other social media outlets a few times a week (a few times a day). I've tried to be nice about it and sent him a private email, (in which this hubber...

The social network share button in hubs is too small for people to notice.I feel that if it is made larger more people can like/share our hubs, given they like it.

If you do, where and with whom do your share it? Is it important for you to share it?

How often do you share your articles to social media? Just once when it's published or changed? Just curious.Chantelle

Just wondering if it is spamming to submit your hubs to the same social networking sites more than once? For example, if you wait a week or so between and you are trying to get your hub more traffic can you submit it again to Twitter or Facebook? Or is this a bad idea. Also if so then how long...
