   After the Ebay changes that occured about 2 months or so ago, am not earning from it even a single cent. Have you been affected by the Ebay changes? What next for those who cannot earn with Ebay and Amazon?

   Have you looked at your actual sales reports?  HubPages seems to be having unexplained problems with their reporting, but sales are showing up in the reports.

      I have just looked, looks like there was one sale in the last 30 days, with an ebay revenue of $0.81.
      
      Which is utter rubbish. 
      
      So I ran the report for 1 October to 4 November and it's showing $0.00 earnings.

         Mine is about the same. I was only earning at tops $30 there, but that helped. Now hardly anything.

   Same here, nothing for the month of October after always getting a little something. After reading all the forums on this subject over the past few weeks, I made a decision. On November 1st, I started to slowly but surely, delete my eBay ads and replace with Amazon. I'm having trouble finding the right products though, which is strange. But I think it's doing me some good regarding stats. I may leave a few on my more recent hubs for now to see what happens but no love lost for eBay.

   eBay has changed the way it pays.  The good news is that it is now paying a direct commission on actual sales, like Amazon does (previously they paid some weird formula per click).  The bad news is that you get commission ONLY if the reader buys or bids within 24 hours.
   
   That's the same as Amazon, but unfortunately there's a crucial difference between Amazon and eBay - auctions.
   
   If your ad features an item which has several days still to run, the reader is more likely to "watch" the item and bid later - so you'll miss out on your commission, even if that reader ultimately wins the auction. 
   
   On my websites, I've got my "capsules" set up to display "Buy It Now" items and my earnings have increased since the change.  Unfortunately we don't have that control on HubPages - and I've earned virtually nothing here on eBay since the change.

      Me, either.  Zero earnings for Oct., down from a norm of perhaps $10 or so. 
      
      So...there are only 3 eBay capsules in my 171 hubs now, all being used for illustrative purposes rather than income generation. 
      
      They disappeared yesterday; will Google take notice and double my traffic now that I'm a good boy and took out the advertising?  And will Amazon income rise now that eBay isn't robbing customers? Time will tell.

      Thanks for the tip. I'm unable to do Amazon due to the state I live I . ( which is bogus). I am strictly eBay. I have yet to actually earn anything yet. My question is how to get direct buy? I cant seem to figure out how to actually search for the item I want.

         You can't specify a specific product - that's another limitation of eBay. 
         
         I suggest you open eBay.com and try searching in the search bar.  Enter your basic search term and see what comes up.   Then keep trying different combinations until you find one that works.  Remember you can use negative searches as well as positive ones.
         
         So for instance, say I want to show pointe shoes, but when I do the search, I find I'm getting second-hand shoes, ribbons and padding and so on.   Instead of just using "pointe shoes" as my search, I use
         
         "new pointe shoes -ribbons -pad -pads -elastic -doll"
         
         Note there's a space before the minus signs and no space after them.

   Last I heard about this was when Hubpages posted a notification saying that there were changes being made to the ebay affiliate program and that ebay earnings would show as $0.00 but would be automatically shown (added on) on your Hubpages earnings.

      Looking at your Hubs, I doubt Amazon capsules would work either.
      
      To make sales on Amazon or eBay capsules, you must show products which are specific to your Hub.  It's not enough to write a chicken recipe then stick an ad for a recipe book on the end of the Hub - it won't sell. 
      
      What would work is, say, if you wrote a Hub about the benefits of slow cooking, then had some text saying, "my favourite slow cooker is made by ......", with an eBay or Amazon capsule showing that specific slow cooker.  Or if you wrote a Hub about making preserves, and had capsules showing the equipment you need to make preserves. 
      
      Oh, and sticking them on the end of the Hub won't work - the capsule needs to be close to the text that refers to it.
